I watched the film Fast X last night, it was so stupid! Watchable, though, lol. The winds were really strong here at one point that I opened the back door thinking I had heard thunder.
I had another very good sleep according to my Fitbit. I am feeling hungry and I was thinking of having the smoothie I made in the fridge followed by a tin of soup and a bread roll. I was organising and decluttering my kitchen yesterday and I saw I have a nice can of sweet potato soup there.:)1 -
Now you've given me thoughts of meatloaf Caronc and i don't remember the last time I made one 🤔
It's been dry here although a little windy at times, my poor white hydrangea is looking very flattened even thought it's sheltered by the house
My sister and I went out for a cream tea at the garden centre as she had a half price voucher if we used her loyalty card, I was surprised at how nice their scones were they tasted home made and by someone with a light hand 😋 voucher had to be used in July and I still have mine 😁Wild boar burger with fried onions for lunch, very tasty but quite fatty so I'll stick to my FS pork and apple ones or HM ones. The cream tea meant I wasn't that hungry later so just some fruit for dinnerLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin1 -
Still a bit breezy, but sun is creeping outI'm fancying cream teas now Brambling, one of life's indulgences. I'll pop the idea into the To-Do brain cell should a suitable occasion arise. Last one I had was pre covid and everything else medical, ideal spot though, Plymouth Ho overlooking the seaMore mundane today, highlight is probably change sheets & get garden waste wheelie bin around to the front, yippee!Lunch, maybe LO tinned salmon with bit of saladDinner, There's an Asda pizza calling me from my freezer, a bit of extra cheese and maybe some corned beef cubes sprinkled on top, you could be in RomeEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens1

Good morning everyone,Rain and more rain here, the school kids are having a very soggy summer break!I'm going to deep clean the kitchen shelves and "gadget" corner today as they are looking very dusty and in need of more than just a quick wipe down. More tea needed first though!
Meatloaf in a bagel with salad for lunch. I've a small piece of top rump defrosted for dinner. I've not quite decided what to do with it yet but rice, peppers and mushrooms will feature.1 -
Pouring with rain here too, although the sun looks like it is coming out too.
I had a bad night sleep and woke up with a headache. I had the window open and I think I got chilly. I had a hot bath when I got up and put on my thermal leggings and my winter at home booties with socks and feel a bit better.
I have had some crisps and water so far today! Someone on another thread mentioned spaghetti on toast which I quite fancy.
I called up to get a quote for some bulky waste picked up and I'm waiting for them to call me back.2025 GOALS

Very authentic, Farway 😂🍕
Forgot to post yesterday, not that there was much CFOing to report…was out for a Sunday roast at lunchtime so just a cream cheese and smoked salmon bagel for supper. Good job as couldn’t tear myself away from the fantastic tennis!
Back to the grind today and it was an office day so portion of vegetable noodles with the peanut dressing from Brambling for lunch. Nice easy and tasty dressing 😋
Tuna and tenderstem pesto pasta tonight.2 -
I'm glad you liked the dressing JKS
it was quiet at work today especially for a Monday just as well as I was on my own this afternoon 😁I found some pate in the freezer so lunch was pate with crackers and a tomato salad. I used the last of the pork LOs for dinner, stir fried with some veg and added to riceLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
I woke up early so I have done some housework, laundry and vacuuming. I need to do some admin today.
I started watching another Netflix film, Fear Street, and so I am going to watch the next two of the trilogy over the next two nights.
I had half a (veg) sausage roll with some sparkling water. I am really craving fruit as I let some go off in my fruit bowl from being out that I had to throw away and I have used up all my frozen fruit.
Oh, I just remembered I have a tin of peaches in juice. I might make a peach smoothie with oat milk and ice today.2025 GOALS

Good morning everyone,
I'm pooch sitting today, both Hector and Frank, as DS1 has to go into work. He dropped them off just before 8am and will collect early evening. I'm hoping they both go for a snooze soon they've been very "busy" since they arrived despite DS1 taking them on huge hike round Linn Park yesterday.
I made a good start to the kitchen deep clean/declutter yesterday but I'm not sure how much I'll get done today.
I went for sort of stroganoffy option with the steak last night. There's some LO veg & rice which I'll for lunch with the last of the meatloaf. I've a cooked chicken leg defrosting for tonight so either chicken salad or a mini roast dinner tonight.0 -
Cooler but sunny, still have itchy eyes & runny hooter with hay fever, even had a pollen warning pop up on the computer, so I guess it's spying on meTried to order online from W8rose this week, but when I got to check out there were so many not things not available that I specifically wanted from there, like cheeses & jam on offer I gave up, and it's back to Asda again.I may pop along to Mark's tomorrow if I can get enough oomph in meCaron, defrosted chicken leg, yep, sound like a good idea for my dinner as well, but I think I'll go with the salad optionLunch, last of the tinned salmon with mini salad bitsEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0
