Brambling, your W8rose steak offer reminded me, must check them out because I've not looked lately, I've Asda delivery tomorrow so maybe next delivery?

Lunch, not really decide, probably a sandwich but filling undecided
Dinner, nuke LO mash, with posh F fingers and last of the frozen mixed veg

    Good morning everyone,
Good result from the reflexology Wednesday.
Did you enjoy the carrot salad Brambling
We've had biblical amounts of rain over the last 24 hours.
Physio was gruelling yesterday and I had acupuncture for the first time - what a strange sensation!!
As expected I'm sore today and tired today as I had quite an uncomfortable night. Lots of gently pottering on the cards today and my sis (and nephew if he's not working) are here for dinner this evening. Though I say it myself the lasagne looks rather decent, I hope it tastes as good as it looks. LO tacos for lunch.

I found acupuncture too painful. I think I had two or three sessions and I had to stop! I really didn't like the feeling of it.

I have booked another reflexology session for Friday.

I had some tiger bread with marg this morning.I think I will make pesto pasta later.:)

My husband is trying to get Taylor Swift tickets for us for next year. It is very difficult as it is selling out so quickly.

The carrot salad was a tasty change Caronc 😋 although I think it needed a bit more mustard but that's probably due to the age of my Dijon mustard (just as well I don't pay attention to dates) I think it lost its punch 🙂 I made enough for two good portions and will make again, it worked really well with gammon

Work is still blah at the moment, my manager picked a good time to be on holiday 😁

A double gammon day for me, gammon and salad sandwich for lunch.  Dinner was gammon, chips and salad finishing the carrot salad.  There is still enough salad for one good meal or maybe two sandwiches, see how thin I slice it 😁

just catching up on professional bake-off Cherish makes some a amazing faces  :s no ruler tonight

  • A catch up working from home day for me. Got everything I needed to done but not everything I had hoped to because other stuff happened, as usual.

Beans with toast and marmite for lunch. Nipped out to Aldi too for on offer compost and a tray of 20 viola plants for 2.79 or something equally ridiculous. Also picked up a couple of tins of chickpeas as haven’t been able to get them in Lidl for weeks, went to put them away when I got home and remembered I had done the same thing when I nipped to sainsburys for something last week 🙄

On time finish as needed to get in the car to get to the venue for my conference tomorrow. Made use of the facilities and had a 20 minute swim before (included in package) drinks and dinner - not bad at all fish and chips 😋

Asda delivery this morning, subbed 500g carrots with 1Kg for same price :) and everything except chilled boil in bag kipper fillets, which I can do without, I had "No Subs" ticked but wondered later just what I would've got as sub for chilled kippers :o
The broccoli they delivered is a disgrace, two great thick long stalks with tiny heads at the top, held together by a rubber band, one I think most would've left on the in store shelf
Fair does though, I complained online immediately and full refund is on the way, so although I would prefer decent broccoli the instant no quibble refund is very acceptable

Brambling, sounds very much like your Dijon mustard is the same batch as mine, so old the BBE is in Roman numerals :D

Fresh loaf made overnight, so all set for lunchtime BLT sarnie
Dinner, Asda had Pukka pies on offer, so I bought some of them, one of which is chicken Balti, a new one on me. I'll have it with nuked LO mash tonight

Another new pie taste on offer is chicken Chip Shop curry, that's for another day

I'm not sure I like this new style forum.

I realised the other day that I still have some kidney beans that I bought during the lockdown so they must have to eaten soon. I looked and the date is July 2023 so it was good that I remembered. I think I bought 24 tins and I have 4 left. They probably would last longer but I may as well eat them. I wanted chickpeas at the time, but I couldn't find them anywhere. That seems weird now.

    I might make chilli later.

    Good afternoon everyone,
Glad you enjoyed the salad Brambling, it definitely needs a good hit of Dijon!
I didn't find the acupuncture at all painful at the time Wednesday, just a very odd sensation. I'm still really sore today but not sure if was the needles or the "taser-like" zapping!
Yes the new forum seems very different, I'm sure I'll get used to it through time.
The lasagne was well received, it was a "big one" so plenty of LOs. DS2 is having some for lunch and I'll freeze the rest. Salady bits for me.
The sun is shining after more very heavy rain overnight. I'm hoping we get a few hours before the next deluge.
Tandoori style chicken and pea & paneer curry for dinner. Both from the freezer stash so no prep needed.  :)

I couldn't stand it. I had acupuncture done on my lower back and lying down on my front was so uncomfortable. I'm not sure if the pain meant it was working! It was a horrible sensation. I've heard other people find it relaxing and fall asleep during it.

It's been a wet afternoon here but at,east the garden appreciated it.

I didn't have the best night sleep, I woke for the bathroom at 1.30 then was too hot at 4 and too cold at 6 🙄. So I've been a bit bleary eyed today and the tiredness makes my tinnitus louder

last of the gammon for lunch with some salad.  Salmon with new potatoes and salad for dinner
