  • Not much CFOing today but lots of eating at the conference 😂

Lunch was chilli and rice. I just warmed up some butter bean and chorizo stew tonight after swimming. Trying to convince myself that 40 lengths will undo all of the eating and drinking 🤔

A bit of a disturbed night, the chicken balti pie did not agree with me at all and several urgent loo visits were required, I seem to be over the worst of it now but will be taking it steady for the rest of the day and have pulled out of the Volunteer meeting this afternoon, just in case

A day of feeling sorry for myself and just light snacks I think.
The weather is a bit dull but could brighten, or just as likely tip down, have to keep my eyes open because the Red Arrows are over Goodwood, so I may just get a glimpse, but more Brambling's way

It felt much more chilly yesterday and I had to put on socks and my cardigan, but then warmed up a bit.

I have finished watching Dawson's Creek, the finale was really sad and I was crying. I wasn't expecting them to end it like that. I'm not sure what to watch next. People online were saying The Lincoln Lawyer was good. It is a series on Netflix. I have seen the original film, but can't remember it at all.

I am going to drop off a donation bag to a charity shop this morning. I fancy wholemeal toast with marg and Marmite before I go.

Just a quick hello as my internet is playing up (planned area upgrade).
LOs for lunch and posh fishfingers for dinner.
  • A very long office day, and a frustrating one at that. Thankfully, that’s my working week done 🙃

Tuna sweetcorn mayo sandwich and some cherry tomatoes for lunch. Nigella’s tomato and anchovy pasta tonight (I used cheap cream cheese instead of mascarpone).

Lincoln Lawyer is on my list Wednesday but never seem to get to it. I’ve watched episodes 3 and 4 of State of Play tonight, it’s 20 years old but really good and has loads of famous actors in, not sure how I missed it at the time. I found it on Drama.

I've read the Lincoln Lawyer books  :) I have seen his other series about 'Harry' Borsh which think was Prime

I don't remember State ofPlay either JKS so have found that and downloaded the first episode

I've had a fun day as well JKS which included trying to manage two calls were the three guys were talking over each other 🙄 it doesn't help that our developer in India will promise things because he thinks it's what you want to hear rather than what he can do so he has to be reined in!

I realised drinking my second cuppa of the day that I have broken my wisdom tooth  :s must have been on my toasted bagel as it didn't hurt first thing, if that is the case I swallowed it! I can't see my dentist until Tuesday and I'm hoping i don't regret not lying to the receptionist when I said it only hurts for hot and cold stuff 😕 I bet it will wait until 5pm tomorrow night to start.  I think it needs taking out as It seems to have split vertically

lunch was cheese omelette with tomatoes.  Dinner was a throw together of chicken breast with chilli flakes, red pepper and spring onions with noodles and a dollop of satay sauce. I picked up the bottle of satay sauce in Lidl, I usually make my own but this is one I would buy again and will be a handy store cupboard addition 🙂

Back & recovered from my tum upset, but I'll take it easy with meals just in case
Rain starting & due to get bad later, strong winds due as well, but I'm inside so apart from stopping any gardening it's not a problem

Phone call from the surgery, restarting annual checkup it seems, none over covid period. So fasting blood test booked in first August, see the nurse for weight telling off the week after ;)

Lunch, something easy, probably toast + jam
Dinner, use up, bacon, & maybe mushroom omelette + AF handful of LO frozen chips

    Good morning everyone,
Ouch re the tooth Brambling, I hope it doesn't give you grief over the weekend.
I've just finished watching "Deceit" on Netflix, really enjoyed it.
My internet seems better today though the area work isn't due to be finished until Sunday.
I'm now CFO for a week as DS2 flew out with his mates to Marbella this morning. Hector has gone to stay with DS1, DIL-to-be and Frank.
Tesco arrived much earlier than expected as they were delivering across the road. Thank goodness I was organised.
Bagel thin with corned beef and salad for lunch. Haddock tonight either fillet or smoked baked in foil with veg and Ayrshire tatties. Food wise this week I'm planning to make a dent various single portions of meat/fish and HM RMs that are lurking in the freezer.

Ouch about the tooth, I had all my wisdom teeth taken out when I was a teenager.

The Lincoln Lawyer was really good, we binge watched the whole first series. The first half is on Netflix but someone just told me the second half isn't out until August. I will probably watch the first half today or this weekend as I assume I might read spoilers online before August.

I had an iced coffee and I'm going to have a veggie burger before I go out to my reflexology appointment.

I will carry on with Lincoln Lawyer tonight if I'm not wiped out after this appointment. It is pouring with rain here today!

I only grew the one wisdom tooth (no comments please 😁) about 20 years ago a dentist wanted to remove it as he said it had nothing to wear against but I decided and difference dentists agreed that 'if it's not broke don't fix it' unfortunately it's now broken! Some twinges today but as long a tea and water are tepid and I eat on my other side it's ok🤞

it's been pouring today, his lordship spent two hours sitting on the small dry bit of the doormat this evening, too stubborn to come in but didn't want to get wet. Stupid cat in the end roast pork brought him in 🐈

Scrambled egg and toasted bagel for lunch. I roasted a small pork loin joint in the airfryer for dinner, it was defrosted and needed using. It was only a £2.50 YS joint rather than £7+ so I decided I would give the AF ago.  Turned out lovely and moist and did make nice crackling (decided against eating that!) and I roasted some potatoes around it. It was a little 750g joint and Google said 25 mins a lb so I did it for 45 mins rather than the 1.20hours on the pack
