Out watering early before the heat gets going, it was starting to warm up at eight this morning, so goodness knows what this afternoon will be like
On the assumption it's a scorcher I made a bodged pimped French carrot salad, and now realise I left out mustard among other items :'( , so I'll have a taste later and add if needed. I did add some tinned "new" spuds to it, but whether a mistake or a bonus, only time will tell

Finalising my Asda shopping & need to phone repeat prescription through, and that is all for the day
Lunch, more 1950s bread & dripping I think
Dinner, last of the LO roast pork, with the French salad plus other salad bits
Last of the gooseberry fool later if required

Late edit. The French salad got mustard added, and it makes a heck of an improvement

Another mostly lazy day, mostly watching tennis, well I am on holiday 😉. I did go for a swim.

Much warmer today but managed to keep the house at a pleasant temperature.

Scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toasted bagel for lunch. Prawn, chorizo and sourdough skewers (cooked on the bbq) with big bowl of salad tonight 😋

You've had good weather for your days off JKS

We had major system issues today across the whole company which took our systems down to started at noon and still not back.  These days we keep nothing on our laptops so I couldn't access any documents either 🙄 unfortunately it didn't stop emails so we got some grumbles even after we said not our fault   :|  at least the system used to log defects was down as well 😁 I had to stay logged in but other than emails there wasn't much else I could do, just as well as I was on my own this afternoon, I've now switched off

bacon and egg with a bagel for lunch and dinner was LO duck a la orange with green veg so nice and easy ping meal

Woken by thunder at half one this morning, and now it's thunder and rain, plus my internet keeps coming & going so guessing network water problems somewhere so short message before it goes completely
Hoping it lasts long enough to get my Asda order in today

Lunch, something on toast. I made a cooked breakfast this morning so not too hungry
Dinner, more salad, taken LO roast chicken quarter out to defrost, so that plus HM AF chips + salad

    Good morning everyone,
Dry(ish) here just now but by the llok of the sky not for long.
The kids, their Dad and the pooches have gone for a trek round Whitelee wind park. https://www.whiteleewindfarm.co.uk/whit ... m-about-us I expect Hector may need a quick bath when he returns. He's off to the groomers later but might be too muddy to go without a sluice down first!
Salady bits for lunch and HM sticky chicken wings for dinner.

Sunshine and showers here today and has felt muggy all day.

Cleared the few bits of ironing this morning while watching Saturday Kitchen. Early lunch of filled pasta, tuna, sweetcorn and sun dried tomatoes. The off to have my hair cut and a bit of shopping at a retail park on the way home.

Tapas/picky tea tonight, while watching the tennis, with 🍷

It's been rain off and on all day here with a loud thunder storm before lunch, it did cool down for a bit but when I went out early evening it was muggy and quite warm again

i cooked a small gammon this morning in the pressure cooker, then used it to cook the meat sauce for a lasagna. A quick trip into town between the showers about 3.30pm to use a sparks voucher for £1 off gammon joints to use before tomorrow so I replaced the one I cooked this morning which came out of the freezer, their 750g joints suit CFO and if pressure cooked are very moist.  I also picked up some gooseberries from the farmers market in town as it was the end of their day they were a little bit cheaper

gammon and salad sandwiches for lunch.  I made a large lasagna for dinner turned out a little wetter than normal but still very tasty 😋 and I had a second helping which I'm still regretting 🙄 five portions in the freezer taking up more room than the pack of mince did  :#

I've been keeping a eye out on work as well but all systems are still down hopefully they'll resolved them tomorrow or Monday will be fun!

I am exhausted after Friday and Saturday. I did 23,000 steps on Friday around Stratford. The concert I went to, The Weeknd, was really good, though! I went to the Lewis Hamilton fast food restaurant to eat first.

I am going out to see Indiana Jones today. It has been pouring here this morning so I need to wear trainers. It is still quite warm.

    Good morning everyone,
Hector was very tired but very tidy boy last night after his long walk in the morning and then the groomers in the afternoon. He managed to stay relatively mud-free on the walk unlike Frank who had to be dipped in the cleanish puddle to remove the worst before they got back in the car. It was Frank's first properly long walk and boy did he enjoy it though barely moved for the rest of the day afterwards!
DS2 and Hector are back out this morning for a beach walk with DS2's mates and their pooch. They'll probably do about 5 miles so he should quite happy with only a quick trundle this evening. It's dry and sunny just now but supposed to turn wet again later.
I'm going to do a bit of food prep this afternoon both for tonight's meal and start the ragu base for a sausage & pepper lasagne on Tuesday. I have physio tomorrow so want to get ahead a bit as I know I tend to not want to do much afterwards.
BLT for lunch. Roast chicken legs, Ayrshire tatties, various veg and HM gravy for dinner.

Dull & cooler this morning but nothing planned anyway except maybe a spot of garden pottering
Update on DGD, the one who is horticultural & was at Chelsea, next stop for her is up & way past Caron
She starts training at Douneside House, paid while learning the practical stuff. Looks like a lovely location, but not sure how she'll find the change from New Forest weather to Aberdeen weather. Never mind, it looks like an ideal placement, which I'm sure will be just the start for her

Snap on BLT lunch Caron, I made an overnight loaf, so it's really fresh, ideal for lunch
Dinner, very poor choice but CBA, and it's use up time again, use up a frozen burger, with HM AF chips & fried eggs, and probably bung on last of the HM coleslaw while I'm at it
