Had definitely rained overnight and was a bit damp first thing but soon brightened up and turned into a nice day. Unfortunately the office was horrible and stuffy.
Nipped out for lunch with a work friend for a long overdue catch up so jacket spud with tuna mayo. More tuna tonight - chargrilled steak made into a salad nicoise.0 -
I feel I should probably know when I had my last tetanus but have no idea other than decades ago
we had really heavy rain over night, my large white hydrangea looked like someone had jumped up and down on it 🫣 it stopped in time for me to walk down to the station just before 10 and I then carried my waterproof and umbrella around all day in Chichester
really nice lunch out, my friend is 60 at the weekend 🎂 other than some fruit I didn't need any dinner tonightLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
The nurse said the tetanus jab lasts 10 years.
I felt like I had a sore throat last night and so I took paracetamol and went to bed. I did feel feverish during the night, but feel okay this morning. My voice is croaky and I have a phone appointment with a GP at 12, typically.
I need to have a shower and get dressed and that might make me feel better. I did have some warm water with lemon to drink.
I am going to have a bagel with something for breakfast. Peanut butter maybe,

Good morning everyone,
The schools break up for summer today so of course it's pouring!
Skip for tomorrow's clear up has been delivered and I'm pooch sitting Frank (and Hector) while DS1 goes to a funeral. Frank ended up at the emergency vets yesterday evening after eating a large section of his licky mat. After a good prod the vet reckoned it had been well chewed up but there could be some larger chunks and gave him a jab to make him vomit to be on the safe side. He's as right as rain this morning and DS1 & DIL-to-be are £320 poorer!
LOs or salady bits for lunch. Dinner will be LOs if I don't have them for lunch or a freezer rake.0 -
Oh no, poor Frank.
I didn't have the bagel as I went out to the local Buddhist cafe. I saw on Instagram that they and my local vegan cafe were both robbed two nights ago! It seems weird that two places I go to regularly were broken into on the same night.
I bought two cakes from there and had the brownie when I got in as it was GF. I also had a smoothie.2025 GOALS

Back to normal after a day out yesterday at RHS Wisley, like Brambling, started out in damp but nice & sunny for rest of the day, not lugging waterproofs around though because I checked radar before leaving in the car and knew no more on the way.Brambling hope the gout tablets work for you once the blood is sorted, I think the kidney bit is about uric acid functioning, before & after, then they decide on the final dose you take. Mine's 300mgEasy day today, a bit dull & some spits of rain, so nothing going on to get excited aboutLunch was fresh bread sandwich, with cheese & sliced raw onion fillingDinner, one of the fresh pork loins, grilled, maybe with eggs & chips for convenienceI need to freeze all the rest of the pork because it is very short-dated, only delivered on Wednesday. Not a problem really because I would freeze some any way with eight in a packEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Another office day today, very quiet in there on a Friday 😂
Tuna ‘n’ sweetcorn sandwich with cucumber sticks for lunch. Chorizo and butter bean stew with green salad and toasted pitta tonight. Oh, and 🍷
Very glad it’s the weekend, will be a quiet, restful one.0 -
Quiet work day which was just as well as it was just me from 1pm. I did go get my blood test done before my colleague left and for once it wasn't too bad especially as it was a Friday, just a half hour wait.Scrambled egg on a bagel for lunch. Dinner was salmon, new potatoes and some salad leaves from the greenhouse with spinach and chardLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0

Good morning everyone,
About to be all go here, there's a large skip to fill! Needless to say it's tipping it down. I'm in charge of feeding the workers (the kids) and looking after Hector and Frank.
BLTs for lunch and a family dinner tonight. I'm making slow roasted leg of lamb, red chimichurri, lentil salad, French-style carrot salad, mixed salad, corn cobettes and foil baked baby spuds. Quite a bit to do but if need be everyone will pitch in later.
More tea needed before I crack on!0 -
Dull but warm here, early start up to water the pots at volunteer place, plus collect my prescription while there, all done now so normal day ahead of pottering aboutLunch, the pork loins I bought turned out to be quite skinny, more thick rashers TBH
, the pleasures of online shopping. Thus, I reckon a pork loin sarnie for lunch
Dinner, should be better, Melton M pork pie, with salad & HM AF chipsLast of the HM apple crumble & custard laterEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0
