Same old sunshine with cool wind morning, but seems an Iberian Plume is due by Friday
with heat warnings & factor 10 million sunscreen. And it will get sticky & muggy, which I don't like
A bit of a disaster in the garden first thing as well, blooming squirrels have knocked over the pots I was growing Cannas in, and scoffed the tubers. Seems the tubers are same / similar to Arrow root, I never knew that bit.Human meals for the day are avoiding cooking typeLunch, cheese & sliced raw onion bapDinner, the LO cold roast chicken quarter, plus jacket potato & saladEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
Good morning everyone,
Another cloudy start but the sun is breaking through now, there seems to be a theme of overcast, chilly starts before the temperature soars. I need to phone DWP (deep joy!) and then will prep tonight's dinner before the kitchen gets too warm.
Although we're not forecast for the hottest UK weather once it gets above 21C I really don't enjoy it so much.
LOs for lunch and sausage & veg ragu with pasta for dinner.0 -
It was chilly when I went out for my blood test yesterday, but me and hubby went to a local restaurant for lunch and it was very hot! I had Pad Thai again, yum. It is my fav dish lately and luckily GF as I think I will avoid gluten for a while. I need to recreate that dish at home. I will look for a recipe later on Pinterest.
I just had a smoothie made from a banana and orange. I'm going out for lunch to a local cafe.:)0 -
Had a lovely sunny day out with friends today 😊
Lunch sat outside was a lovely goats cheese salad. Treated myself to easy tea of scampi, chips and peas 😋0 -
It's forecast 29 on Saturday 🥵 then dropping to 27 for the rest of the week, I'm not made for heat I'll need some of that factor 10 million please Farway
Busy day workwise with a few numpties coming out of the woodwork 🙄 at least tomorrow is Friday 😁
lunch was a repeat of yesterday cheese, ham and spinach wrap. Chicken wings, wedges coleslaw and corn on the cob for dinnerLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
I had falafel, houmous and salad yesterday at the cafe. I had more food when I got home, I can't remember now. Lol.
I just had a GF bagel with vegan butter and a few of the GOSH mini sausages I bought. They aren't that bad, they taste a bit like stuffing.
I got my blood test results back online and it says no further action required so I assume that means that I don't have Rheumatoid Arthritis. I got a result of 10 and it has to be between 14 and upwards as I googled.2025 GOALS

Good morning everyone,
Good news re the blood test results Wednesday
No cloudy start today, it's glorious. My sis has taken Hector and Ari to the beach before it gets too warm.
Tesco due soon, then I'll see what the day brings. There are lots of things I should be doing but I suspect the shade and my book might win. The housework isn't going anywhere and I'm reasonably caught up with my voluntary admin ......
Fridge bits for lunch and usual fridge/freezer dive for dinner.

A bit of a sleepless night, too warm for me, but has a plus because I was up and about watering the pot plants at the front earlier, before the sun really gets going. Nice cooling wind still, the wind dropped yesterday & it was like walking into a humid oven, stepping outside. Hoping that is not what is due soonFreezer rake looking for dinner, found the posh beef burgers I lost, too late now, no buns. However, I found a single & forlorn salmon fillet, circa 2021, so that's defrosting.Lunch, last of the baps with cheese & raw sliced red onion fillingDinner, the salmon fillet, fried in EVO & butter, with HM AF chips and saladEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

I looked closer at my test results and I think it is saying it might be gout. My uncle and my Grandfather had gout and I just read it can be genetic. I'm not in any pain, though, which is weird. I will ask at the GP appointment next week.
I just had chips at Southend beach.🤩
I have taken some frozen cherries out to defrost as I read they are good for gout, if that is what it is!
