A cool start this morning which turned warm again after lunch 🌞 some pottering in the garden this morning not too much as my hip didn't appreciate me moving pots from the front to the back yesterday   :s I dragged my very heavy and very full garden waste bin which was probably the final straw 🙄

I cleaned and reorganised the fridge this afternoon after finding a very sad dead aubergine and courgette at the back brought before the gout attack, I hate wasting food. Tomorrow I may tackle the freezers 🫣 I want to try and avoid the SM this week and eat from stores I should have enough fresh other than milk if topped up my frozen veg

I made a smoked mackerel pate with the last of the pack of mackerel for lunch.  Stick sweet and sour pork with tenderstem broccoli, French beans and jasmine rice for dinner

    Good morning everyone,
Deck work is ongoing......! DS2 is having a well deserved break this evening/tomorrow morning as he's heading to a 30th do in Glasgow tonight. Hector is going to have a sleepover with Frank tonight and Frank is coming to stay overnight with us tomorrow. I'm ignoring the mess and dust until after the weekend. Although it's an outdoor project the muck doesn't half travel!
Weeds are finally dying back in the front garden after I treated them last week so it's beginning to look a bit less unkempt.  :)
Tesco have been and as I'm foregoing the usual Friday clean & tidy I'm for a slothful afternoon with my book.
Fridge bits for lunch and a chicken traybake bung in for dinner.

Sunny and "usual" cold wind, nice though
Off to the podiatrist first thing, and a bit of a watering the volunteer flowerpots while I was there

The lamb meal turned out nice, lovely lamb as it happened, only snag was it was NZ and I had hoped for more home-grown, but shopping online leaves a lot of blanks with missing information at times

Lunch was eggs on toast, the HM loaf being a tad too stale for sandwiches today
Dinner, the other lamb steak, this time just pan fried "as is", with nuked jacket potato and salad

Can't believe it's Friday, my week off has gone too fast 😕 at least I got good weather 🙂

spent time this morning doing personal admin and then popped into town after catching up on the masterchef final to sort some financial stuff out.

Small pizza from the freezer with extra toppings for lunch and LO sweet and sour pork with rice for dinner

  • Oh no, Brambling, that’s no good - it feels like ages since I was at work…

Chilly start this morning and it was cool out of the sun at times during the day. The sun was out all day from mid-morning though so garden furniture is now set up on the patio plus two loads of washing were line dried. I’ve also done some domestic chores, been to the farm shop and watched some of the tennis 😊

Had a cheese sauce filled smoked haddock fish cake (from a pack of two RTC in my “essentials” shopping yesterday) with salad for lunch. Cottage pie and green beans tonight. There was also a piece of tiffin from the farm shop consumed with a cuppa during the afternoon!

Early start this morning, failed to "drop off" again, so got up. Made a change and had nuked porridge for breakfast, then watered the large pots at the front.
Having made an overnight loaf in the Panny a lot was completed before nine for once

Sun's out, forecast last night was seven days of non-stop sunshine, certainly good growing & holiday weather at the moment

I have taken some bangers out to defrost, if in time then it's AF sausages in a fresh bread sandwich for lunch
Dinner, the bacon misshapes had a couple of thick rashers in the pack, so thinking of using those, with AF HM chips, maybe a sausage if not used lunchtime, plus mushroom omelette
Maybe open a tin of beans?

    Good morning everyone,
Another glorious day here, I'm enjoying the peace and quiet before DS2 returns with Hector and Frank!
BLT for lunch, I had a pack of bacon just OOD so cooked it yesterday while the oven was on so it wouldn't get wasted.

Sorry I was trying to quote Farway and Brambling but it wasn't working.

My allergy test hasn't arrived yet. I was just about to call them up. I'm vegan so I don't think it can be dairy, unless I have become lactose intolerant and I can't have anything that might have traces of dairy in it. I can't seem to pinpoint it. I am keeping a food diary, but I still feel slightly ill today. I didn't have any wheat or gluten yesterday at all.

I've lost 5 pounds this week as I'm scared to eat anything! I could do with losing some weight anyway, but I would rather not do it like this! Lol.

I've had a glass of orange juice and some water today.

Been a beautiful day here, breeze still a bit cool but the sun was really hot in the middle of the day - had to put sun cream on when I was doing my planting. Mostly a garden day, nipped out this morning to get compost and a few plants but already had quite a lot to be planted on or moved around.

Filled pasta, chorizo, sweetcorn and cherry tomatoes for lunch. Chargrilled tuna steak with garlic and sage butter bean mash and spinach tonight.

Picked up a few fresh bits when I was out today but must do a proper shop tomorrow 🙃

Is it possible that you feel ill because you aren't eating enough? There are extreme diets like fodmap where you eliminate a lot of food types and then slowly add it back in a item at a time but I would advise getting medical advice before starting anything like that. I hope you feel better soon

Hair cut for me today, the last of my coloured hair hit the floor so it's now all mine 😁  natural 'highlights' are also free 🤑 I parked at my sisters' and walked into town with her before going back for a cuppa,  we booked a week away in August to Northumberland. Either of us have been before and each had a couple of places we wanted to go it will be a long drive but not too bad with two of us

I enjoyed the sun this afternoon pottering in the garden and greenhouse this although I didn't enjoy the mouse which ran across my hand when I was pushing stuff down in the compost bin and than ran across my foot a couple of minutes later.  I warned it about his lordship 🐈 I also warned the cat that he's not to bring it indoors if he sees it 🐭

I brought some nice fruit and nut bread from the farmers market so lunch was some of that with butter 😋 sea bass stuffed with sun dried tomato and olives for dinner with new potatoes and LO green veg

Caronc  the lamb burger recipe looks nice (except the coriander  🤢) lamb mince is now defrosting to try it tomorrow 🙂
