    Good afternoon everyone,
    Enjoy the party Farway.
All go here, have swapped pooches - Ari has gone home and Frank has arrived! The deck is down and they've started on breaking up the concrete for the new kitchen drain. I'm trying to keep pooches entertained and out of the way.
Meal plan has been rearranged as we are having a small bbq for lunch. Pork chops now defrosting for dinner and I'll cook the whole chook tomorrow instead.

I hope the party went well Farway and the M27 wasn't too bad

It's been a really sunny day 🌞 I took a friend for her CV jab this morning, the surgery is usually organised but she was over a hour today, I spent it people watching from my car as it seemed half the over 75s in town turned up, some really shouldn't be driving still but it was a entertaining hour including watching a elderly lady abandoned her car in the middle two spaces opposite me with the middle of the car exactly over the line 🙄 I went back for a cuppa and sorted some IT issues for her 🫣

After lunch I renewed my annual ticket for a local garden, it pays for itself after the 4th visit and only approx 5 miles from home so nice for a hour or so walking around the lakes and watching the wallabies 🙂 although today I didn't walk around as my foot was already complaining but I will try to go up next week hopefully the azaleas and rhododendrons will still be amazing

Waitrose tonight but they had delivery issues and hardly any fresh stuff which was all I wanted so I drove across to Sainsbury and use their nectar prices as opposed to my Waitrose vouchers

Fish finger sandwich for lunch, it's been mentioned too many times here 😁 dinner was a salmon salad with potato salad.  LO salmon for tomorrow

I felt like I was getting a migraine again yesterday. Well, not the pain/headache, just the aura symtoms. I can't work out why I'm getting them again. The woman at the hearing place said the same thing happened to her when she moved here.

I got a takeaway last night as I felt too own out to cook. Katsu burger, fries and slaw. Delicious.

My stomach is growling for some reason! I need some breakfast...

Sunny again, yesterday's M27 was near normal, traffic but all moving, the hold according to reports started past Southampton as it becomes the A35, but I came off before then. An enjoyable afternoon at DSs, with homemade cake

Completed my Asda online shop for delivery Wednesday, however with this weather I expect some salad items will be subbed or missing by then

Expecting a quiet day, spot of gardening, last of the tomatoes to put out and that's it
With the weather, it's salad days again
Lunch, basic cheese & pickle sandwich I think
Dinner, trying some of the Morries pork pie bought last week, with HM AF chips + salad

That sounds like last Saturday and every Saturday during the summer :|  come off the M27 to a sea of break lights up the hill of the A35 😁

another hot day 🌞 I made the mistake of going to the large garden centre the other side of town late morning and unsurprisingly it was so busy, I did use my birthday vouchers to buy some pots to replace my terracotta ones which were frosted this winter, these aren't terracotta and the ones I've been eying up were half price today 🙂 I had enough vouchers to buy some summer bedding and replace my sage and thyme plants

I meant to garden this afternoon but a combination of the heat and tweaking my back getting compost out of the car and up the path put me off.

Pork pie salad using YS mini pork pies for lunch. Another salad for dinner this one using the LO salmon and potato salad

    Good morning everyone,
    Cracking weather.  :)
Mucky mayhem here but for three white collar workers the kids can graft. The deck is down, slabs lifted, concrete broken and the drain channels were dug out over the weekend. The main drain line was much deeper than expected and digging through the various layers that the garden has been raised by 8-12 inches over the years! DS2 is busy inserting the new chambers and pipework and DS1 is due soon to help with the back fill. I'm not sure it will all get completed this week but fingers crossed I'll at least be able to step over the threshold!

Cooked a chicken crown so plenty of LOs for lunches. Gingery beef mince in black bean sauce with rice for dinner.

Oh no, what a nightmare Caronc.

I have had some toast, strawberries and orange juice so far today.

That looks like more work than I imagined Caron, just a good job the weather is fine for your "workers"

Sunny but cold with North wind here, however I went up watering the volunteer garden first thing, a bit of pottering about then back for lunch of unexciting cheese & sliced raw onion sarnie

Dinner, repeat of pork pie salad + HM AF chips. The Morries own brand Melton Mowbray Pork pie is tasty, I'd certainly buy another and may try one of Asda's own to compare next time round

The kids have been busy Caronc definitely hard workers by the look of it 🙂

pottering day for me in the garden and I planted up the summer bedding in my new pots, i went to the nearer garden centre today as I wanted something white for one of my pots, it was no where as busy as the bigger garden centre yesterday, I was led astray by a loyal card offer and picked up a white Japanese anemone 4.99 instead of £12.99.  I've been wanting one for a white as I have a couple of pink ones which come up all over the garden every year

my sister popped in for a gossip and cuppa after dinner and we planned our week away 'up North' at the end of August, I'll just need to book the Friday before my planned holiday as the apartment we like is Friday to Friday.

Cheese on toast for lunch with chilli jam.  Burger, chips and salad for dinner
