Good morning everyone,
Congratulations to DGD Farway!
Poor you Brambling I hope you can get quickly get some relief.
It's dry here though cloudy and and not particularly warm. After another cuppa I'm off the tackle the weeds that have sprouted all over the front garden over the past week. Clearly it's been ideal growing conditions as some are huge!!
The lamb was lovely JKS definitely a recipe worth keeping. There's LOs so a lamb salad wrap for lunch. Easy dinner tonight spicy breaded prawn Po'boy style sandwiches with salad and HM wedges.0 -
Great news Farway! And DGD is properly famous now 🙃
Glad you liked the lamb caronc 😋
Wfh today. Bit mixed, didn’t get off to the best start but I’ve had a productive afternoon. Plus, load of washing dried on the line and no heating on!
LO spinach and feta tart, salad and coleslaw for lunch. Out for early tea before the theatre tonight - looking forward to it.1 -
Another disturbed night when I was woken at 3.30 again looking for pain killers
work was done via the sofa today so I could keep my foot up. The nurse could have prescribed the tablets I was on Farway but wouldn't the Allopurinol which is why I have to wait six weeks for the doctor
gammon and egg bread roll for lunch. Shepherds pie from the freezer for assay dinnerLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Good morning everyone,
Hope your foot is less painful today Brambling.
Waiting for my sister's pooch to arrive as we are looking after him until the weekend as she is going away with work and my nephew's shifts are conducive to pooch watching/walking. Today will no doubt be mayhem but then hopefully they'll calm down.
Cheese, crackers and salad for lunch. Sticky chicken thighs for dinner Sticky honey garlic chicken recipe - BBC Food with Jersey Royals, broccoli and green beans.0 -
Sunny with a cooling breezeI suppose looking on the brighter side Brambling, at least your gout held off until after you need to drive to Dorset, I know I couldn't drive with gout but maybe yours is a bit different? I couldn't even get a shoe onJKS, lamb recipe, I'm still looking for lamb steaks, just an empty space in Marks and same in Morries when I went in this morningI went to Morries first thing, I don't go there these days but had an offer I couldn't refuse, £4 off £20 spend. I wanted some tinned yeast, and they sell it, as it happens 50p cheaper than W8roseOff course, I bought other items, doughnuts and a pork pie are examples of my foolishness, but at least I'm set for the BH weekend. I was a few pennies short of twenty quid at the checkout, so had to buy a pack of chewing gum to take me over the magic number, money well wasted because it knocked four pounds off my bill. I don't use gum, but I expect one of the grandchildren will relieve me of itLunch, among my purchases was a packet of baps, and a pack of bacon misshapes. I'm hoping to get a bacon roll out to thoseDinner, the other kipper, with LO mash & maybe oven baked YS on the way out tomatoes from today's shoppingEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Perhaps I’ve created a shortage, Farway - like Delia with the cranberries 😂
Lovely evening out last night but I am now confused about what day it is!
It’s Wednesday so usual offsite meeting this morning but then into the office as I had a short training session to attend. Managed a few bits and bobs in between but still got quite a lot I need to do by the end of the week.
Was quite late home and didn’t fancy rushing around to get to swimming so did some dinner prep then went out for a sunny walk.
Lunch was the rest of the Greek salad ish couscous. Tuna and green bean pesto pasta tonight, LOs in a lunchbox ready for tomorrow 🙃0 -

usual work day here with the afternoon spent on a call. My nephew came around this morning and did a little gardening for me, as long as he doesn't have to identify plants from weeds he's ok and is going to do some 'heavy' work for me
Hummus, breadsticks and carrots for lunch with some fresh pineapple. Lazy dinner of gammon, egg and AF chipsLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Woke early and failed to drop back off, so I was up & out to the volunteer garden spot, weeding & watering the neglected pots. Looking better now, just been waiting on weather reallyOur forecast is sunshine all next week, so I expect the volunteer watering will become routine as it was last yearWhen I opened up the pack of "cooking bacon" from Morries I found it was mainly three large chunks of bacon, too thick and large for sarnie, so now I'm thinking a thick ham and veg soup, sort of chowder style for the weekendLunch today, a bit stuck now it's not bacon, egg I think, in fact I could have egg & cress using the bought in cressDinner, one of the Mark's chicken legs, oven cooked.I'll cook both at the same time today, but leave one for tomorrowProbably with a root veg tray bake that can go in the oven at the same time to help make it MSEEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0
