We will want pictures of the garden Farway 🙂

I know the feeling JKS I had the same kind of day 🙄  it's when people don't want to look for the answer first as it's lazier to ask someone else 😡

I popped to Waitrose tonight for a few bits and then filled up with petrol in Sainsbury which is across the road at least the petrol price is going down. There was no iceberg in Waitrose Farway  but I dashed into Sainsbury and got one as well as the red currant jelly I had forgot.  Until recently I haven't brought iceberg lettuce for years as I usually have raw spinach, rocket or watercress but brought a 10p YS one a few weeks ago and like using the more structured 'cups' to fill 😋

It was a late lunch for me due to a meeting overrun and being dragged into another one straight after, luckily I boiled some eggs and jersey royals first thing this morning so my 2.30 lunch was a large spinach salad with gammon and eggs and potato salad.  The late lunch meant I wasn't that hungry tonight so I just ate some figs and soft blue cheese when I got back from shopping

Bin day, it was only the wheelie bins rumbling by that I realised we have reached Friday already, where did that week go?

A bit dull but dry, may rain later but seems a bit of a maybe

Made another overnight French loaf, white flour only this time, and it's still not risen as before :( , which makes the yeast very suspect. Next one, I'll open my new tin of Allison's yeast to confirm it.

Sarnie for lunch using fresh loaf, not sure about filling right now
Dinner, I have a pork chop defrosting, grill that, with HM AF chips and some salad

It feels quite chilly today. I hung out the laundry anyway as it isn't meant to rain.

I did so many steps the past two days that I can't be bothered to go to the cinema today. I am just staying at home reading so I'm not too tired for the comedy gig tonight.

I have had a roll with marg and a bowl of cereal so far today.

I am having a small lunch as we are eating out tonight.

    Good morning everyone,
My drain would finally seem to be unblocked. It means the deck replacement can start next weekend.  Once that work's complete we'll see about getting a drain trap installed at the bottom of the garden. Then if it goes again it should be easier to resolve and also let us clean it from time to time.
More tea needed and then I need to give the bathroom a scrub. There's a pile of ironing too...
Los for lunch and possibly a steak sandwich for dinner. Tesco aren't coming to this evening so will be wanting something quick and easy.
  • Fingers crossed the repair has worked, caronc

Better day but mainly because I was wfh so away from the people that suck the life out of me 😂

Posh fishfinger sandwich for lunch and chicken and fridge gravel egg fried rice tonight. Have had a very easy evening!

Most of the day was spent testing new system upgrades with my manager 🥱 there was some swearing due to too many defects 😡

prawn salad for lunch although I forgot the potato salad 🙄 salmon fishcake with chips and sweetcorn for dinner so a easy cook day.

I'll be driving down to Dorset for my Aunts funeral tomorrow so hoping the dry weather lasts, it has taking about a month to arrange.  The funeral is 3pm so my sister and I will drive down for lunch at my eldest sister's first but won't stay too long after the funeral as we don't want to be too late home as traffic permitting it will take about 2.5 hours

Nice & bright day here, ideal for Brambling driving past on M27 [virtual wave]. Timed it right because it was hail & thunder down there yesterday PM, missed me though

DGD is settled down for Chelsea show, and the exhibit is now under way. It's Press, Royal & celebs day on Monday when she may be interviewed on Beeb South TV, will have to wait & see. At least she will see loads of celebs & all the gardening gurus while she is there. I think I'll be spending a lot of time in front of TV next week with the Chelsea programmes

Meanwhile, I'm trying to think of something for a lunchtime sarnie. It was fish Fs yesterday, so not those again
Dinner is easier, use up mushroom omelette, with HM AF chips & LO nuked b beans

    Good morning everyone,
DGD must be very excited Farway.
Cloudy and threatening to rain here.
Mainly admin today before hoovering and mopping through. DS2 has a night out in Glasgow tonight and DS1 and DIL-to-be are looking after Hector so it's a good chance to get some chores done. Hector is terrified of the hoover but adores the mop with him away it's an ideal chance to rattle through it without a "helper"!
LO steak sandwich for lunch and pork chop with Jersey Royals and various veg for dinner.
  • Beautiful sunny day but still a cool breeze, perfect drying weather so load of towels out on the line.

Into town this morning for an appointment then treated myself to a browse in a couple of shops and lunch at a favourite cafe 😋

I was awake way too early this morning so have had a quiet afternoon, couldn’t actually manage to nap but have caught up on some telly and some reading. Must be more productive tomorrow!

Bit of a use up dinner - chorizo, onion, new potato and sweetcorn hash.

Off to bed, really hope I can sleep until a sensible time…

Sunny with a breeze, ideal for drying washing outside if I could

I had planned on a spot of volunteer gardening this morning, but the most bendy able person had to go into work, so it's postponed for a few days. Only gardening today is catching up GW on TV & watch the start of Chelsea now DGD is up there

Tried another overnight French loaf, with a new packet of yeast but with the same poor result. Edible, but not well risen.
I'm making up a W8rose online list, so will add a tin of good yeast on there. The cost soon rockets up these days, doesn't it? Only a few items to bust the £40 barrier, but I have posh fish on it and very posh, on offer, lemon marmalade

Lunch, fresh bread, could be cheese & pickle sarnie
Dinner, stab & ping, Frozen Sweet & sour chicken + rice MFO
