Drying weather here as well 🌞 I love the smell of bedding when it comes off the line and back on the bed the same day  :)

I'm lucky to have water today as half the town and surrounding areas have been without since 7am and until 2pm the nearest water station was 10 miles away with gridlock traffic 🙄  I had done two loads of washing before I saw comments on the local FB page.  I filled jugs and buckets etc before going out at 11am as they threatened another 20000 homes would lose it but so far have been lucky and they are saying will be resolved overnight.  It seems they were delivering bottles to people on their vulnerable list.  There was a house fire near me this afternoon and the fire brigade brought their own water tanker

I popped around to my elderly friend with a bag of books this morning and as well as doing some small jobs including looking at a issue on her ipad  I ended up bringing back stuff to take to the charity shop, currently it's in the car as I have enough of my ownin the spare bedroom :#  she did give me some lovely fabric kept from when she use to make her own clothes, so about 30 years old but not dated, silks brought to make blouses and light weight wool and raw silk brought for suits.  I can't make clothes they always look homemade but I'll see if I can find a use for it if not I've a couple of friends who make clothes   🪡  🧵

it was a late lunch time I got home so I was happy I just had to ping the last of the meatball tray bake, which was the gift that kept on giving 😁 easy dinner  of chicken wings, wedges, corn on the cob,  HM coleslaw and salad

I've  bookmarked that recipe JKS I have all the ingredients except the redcurrant jelly

    Good morning everyone,
    Nice looking recipe JKS.  :)
Expecting a rather chaotic day, the drain folk are due out and I'm Ari sitting for a few days as my sister has had to go away for work.
Sun is shining but I'm loathe to put a washing as no doubt the drain guy will arrive as soon as I do!
Refried beans (from the freezer) tacos tonight so an easy one. Fridge gravel/LOs for lunch.

Sunny with a coldish wind, fine for sitting somewhere sheltered

Another one who has book marked the recipe JKS, likewise everything except RC jelly & lamb steak, but easily obtained. I may even add them to my Asda delivery for this Wednesday. For once, it looks like a fairly easy one to follow, I hate the fiddly ones, which is why I never do them

My cricked neck has eased, I took a couple of co codamol last night to try & ease the neck while in bed, seems to have worked and slept most of the night

Made another overnight French loaf, not as good as previously, new pack of Asda yeast, was on tinned Allison's before.
I'll try another sachet before I throw them out, still in date but have been in my fridge since early lockdown panic days when it was grab what is available. Trouble is Asda don't sell the tins, just dearer sachets, could be down to wait until my next W8rose delivery

Lunch, more toast but maybe topped with grilled tinned sardines for a change
Dinner, just fancy pie & mash. I have some frozen pies so will be one of those, either steak & K or plain steak, plus HM mash, fresh carrots and use up parsnips

I slept in as my husband has just come off nights. We had a builder here this morning fixing our kitchen windowsill. I also have washing in the machine as it is dry and blowy here.

I had a Quorn steak bake done in the AF for breakfast!

I didn't jet wash yesterday so I have to do that later.

Yeah, it’s a nice little recipe - fairly straightforward, Farway. I tend to have redcurrant jelly in as it goes with various roast meats and is lovely stirred into gravy plus can be emergency chutney with cheese 🙃 (and it seems to keep forever!)

Cumin roasted carrot, goats cheese, pomegranate seed and mixed grains for lunch today (one of the boxes ready prepped in the fridge). Voluntary committee meeting tonight so just had creamy smoked salmon and tenderstem broccoli pasta. Hopefully, there will be biscuits with the tea 😉

My dad grew redcurrants and my mum made lbs of red currant jelly every year I can see the muslin bag hung up over night usually over the 3 legs of a upside down old stool straining out the seeds 😋

Another nice day and I pottered for half hour lunchtime in the garden cleaning the garden table and chairs

falafels with salad in a wrap for lunch.  Salad again for dinner using up LO salmon, new potatoes and a hard boiled egg. I'm enjoying my salads at the moment, I brought a small gammon joint in M&S Saturday so may pressure cook that tomorrow

Urgh, we have two lots of workmen coming over today. I am going to hide out in my room with my dog and read and listen to music to avoid them.

I made some Linda McCartney sausage rolls in the AF so will take a few upstairs in foil to eat later, my packed lunch lol.

Sun out again, hope to get into the garden later, but it's a cold wind right now despite the sunshine

Amended tomorrow's Asda order, goodbye chicken, hello lamb steaks & RC jelly :) . Although I've ordered the lamb, the reviews are mixed, so until it arrives it could be anything. But have to try first.

Lunch, use up the LO tuna paste in a sarnie, maybe add tomato to liven it up a bit
Another one here enjoying salads, today is going to be, currently defrosting, salmon fillet, fried in EVO & butter, with nuked jacket spud + salad bits

    Good morning everyone,
Drain folk didn't appear and the promised call back hasn't happened!  One from this afternoon when I'm back from physio.
Sis and nephew coming for dinner and returning their pooch for another overnight. He'll be puzzled as he only just went home this morning! I'm making this traybake Chicken and chorizo traybake recipe - BBC Food. I've cooked it before using less chicken but the same of everything else for DS1 and I and the LO veg was lovely for lunch the next day. So while it makes a lot still worth trying for CFO. Cheese, crackers and salad planned for lunch.

That traybake looks good, I can see the beans, veg and chorizo would be lovely LOs even after the chicken had gone 😋

Enjoy the lamb, Farway - I like leg steaks cooked quickly and left a bit rare.

Good wfh day today and the weather has meant two loads of washing dried on the line.

LO smoked salmon pasta for lunch. Traditional Tuesday early tea so I can swim later but have had scrambled eggs and avocado on toast for a change from beans 🙃
