Another sunny day ahead, and all next week as well, at least it keeps the heating bills downOnly planned thing today is a spot of weeding before the sun gets too hot, but it's not critical, so no panic if leftLunch, I'm trying to think of something to put inside my sandwich that is not cheese or fish F, maybe Marmite & tomato? Exciting stuff ehh?Dinner, grilled pork chop, HM AF chips & salad, nice & easy without a hot stoveEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Good morning everyone,
Brambling, the lamb burgers got 10/10 for flavour but a very soft mix and resulting texture. Too soft to griddle so baked them so they didn't collapse. Ds2 really enjoyed it but I prefer a bit more bite in a burger. That said I'm happily having the LOs for lunch.
Another glorious day and DS2 is labouring away outside "helped" by Hector and Frank. Poor Frank hurt his leg with a misjudged jump within minutes of arriving but thankfully doesn't seem to have done anything serious. From the squeals you would have thought he was mortally wounded but I think that was fright as much as anything.
HM Hunters chicken with baby spuds and various veg for dinner.0 -
Another sunny day. Not been out in it as such but it does just lift the spirits and it’s lovely to have doors and windows open. Just pottered today, been for a swim, done a bulk Lidl shop, bit of ironing, watched quite a lot of tennis.
Scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast for lunch. Made a traybake tonight with chicken thighs, peppers, onion, cherry tomatoes, half a tin of butter beans, rosemary, garlic and some torn up ciabatta - a combination of a few people on here’s suggestions 😊. Was yummy and some LOs have gone in a lunchbox with some salad for tomorrow’s office day.0 -
It's been a hot day 🥵 I gave up on gardening as I was trying to cut back some brambles in the back this morning which is where the sun is until noon. I did a tip run lunchtime, we now have to book appointments which does make for a smoother and quicker visit. I went fora walk around leonardslee gardens after lunch with my sister although I was too hot to enjoy the walk unless we were in the shade of the trees, the rhododendrons are still in bloom 🙂I managed to kick a tree root and although I avoided going T over T it did jar my hip 🙄
Lunch was a repeat of yesterday the nice bread from the farmers market. I tried the lamb burgers for dinner, I see what you mean about soft mix of them Caronc, mine were a little over spiced as I reduced the meat and veg but had a brain blip and put in the full amount of spices 🙄

Sunshine again, as you say JKS, it's nice to have the windows openA bit of a domestic sort of day, change the bedding and catch up on household clerical, like renew the garden waste bin licence. We have to pay for it to be collected around here, but in my defence there is no way I could take stuff to the tip these days, I'd finish up in the skip with itJKS, Ta, your lunch has prompted mine, scrambled eggs & mushrooms on toastDinner, same as yesterday, grilled pork chop, HM AF chips + saladIt's my Covid booster tomorrow morning, so I'll be late clocking inEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Good morning everyone,
Shame about over spicing the burgers.
Deck floor is more or less down and DS2 will lay the remaining boards down this evening after work. Still loads to do but what a lot was achieved last week.
Another glorious day here but there's admin and some much needed domestics to do before I can enjoy the sunshine.
DS1 is 32 today, how did that happen? We're getting together tomorrow and a Chinese takeaway has been requested.

I've lost 5 pounds this week as I'm scared to eat anything! I could do with losing some weight anyway, but I would rather not do it like this! Lol.
I've had a glass of orange juice and some water today.0 -
I realised I didn't say what I had eaten. I had a tin of soup with a toasted gluten free roll my husband bought me.
I'm feeling okay at the moment. I'm having some green tea with a ginger biscuit.2025 GOALS

Much cooler here today, don’t think I’ve seen the sun 🙄. Must remember to water still as the pots get dry so quickly with no rain.
First day back at work after a week off was a bit of a shock to the system but got through it and cleared out all the emails I really didn’t need. Easy evening as I’m exhausted!
LO chicken, peppers, beans and ciabatta croutons from last night with some salad for lunch. Made creamy chorizo and broccoli pasta tonight, sauce is made from cream cheese and has fennel seeds in 😋0 -
I can relate JKS work was also a shock to the system to me, too many emails and most of the day on a call with my manager working on a task together
I popped to the local garden centre lunchtime for some new canes and picked up a couple of tomato plants to replace a couple of mine which looked very sad. I planted some parsley and garlic chive seeds a friend gave me before reluctantly going back to work
lunch was LO burger and salad. Pea and broad bean risotto for dinner with a little chopped baconLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0
