    Good morning everyone,
Cloudy here just now but it's supposed to burn off this afternoon.
Family here tonight for DS1's birthday. No cooking required as we are having a takeaway.
Deck is now sufficiently completed for me to get out into the back garden again!
    LOs for lunch.

It feels quite chilly here today! I thought it was meant to be warm this week.

I finally feel better. I had two workmen here working in the kitchen and bathroom so I went to a cafe and had falafel, houmous, and roasted peppers on salad leaves, tomatoes and cucumber for lunch.

I feel quite full up. Oh, I did have a cup of tea and 2 ginger biscuits this morning too.

  • Sunny day again, still a cold wind. I seem to be in the bottom middle of the country, where the cloud doesn't reach this time round. Hopefully it will get my strawberries ripe & red PDQ

Booster jab first thing, I used a local chemist this time round. All very easy and parked outside. I guess that's it until winter now
I went into Mark's on the way home, needed salad bits + a YS mooch. Found all I wanted, and YS MFO F & chips, plus very posh YS thick cut bacon

Lunch was some of the YS posh bacon in BLT bap
Dinner, the YS MFO F & Cs, with frozen peas

Actually felt quite cold at times today. Come back summer!

Better work day, mainly because I was at home, but I’m still properly grumpy about being back 😂

Had a new dining table and chairs delivered this afternoon so after work has been unpacking, attaching legs, disposing of packaging and selling the old set - I’m exhausted!

LO chorizo and broccoli pasta for lunch. Had early tea of beans with toast so I can swim in a bit.

Temperature has definitely dropped from the weekend but I still pottered in the garden lunchtime in a T shirt

Work was very much the same as yesterday including system failure at the same time 🤨 contrary to what IT say we are doubting that it's a different issue!

LO risotto for lunch.  A mixed salad for lunch, cheese, egg and Parma ham

It feels a bit warmer today, but still dry and grey.

I haven't eaten anything yet as I'm at the GP waiting for a blood test.

  • Sorry folks with grey days, but it's another sunny day & blue sky. Chilly wind as usual. Once it warms up a bit I hope to do a spot of gardening, nothing exotic, lugging wheelie bin back to normal spot round the back and some watering mainly

Meals today are still linked to the Mark's shopping
    BLT bap for lunch
Roast a chicken quarter from Marks, they're always nice, two for £1.50. With jacket potato and salad

    Good morning everyone,
Takeaway last night was lovely. We got it from a newish restaurant, a sister of one near where DS2 & DIL-to-be lived when they first moved back up. Sells the usual range of dishes but done really well and the prawn toasts were outstanding. I tend to avoid Chinese takeaway as the high salt / msg combination can cause my vertigo to flare up but this, although well flavoured, wasn't too heavily laden. We over ordered though so lots of leftovers. DS2 & DIL-to-be took some and we'll use or freeze the rest up. Prawn cracker anyone?
Cloudy again today and cooler compared to recently. Yesterday it took to around 4pm for the cloud to burn off and then it was glorious. Fingers crossed the same happens today!
LO takeaway for lunch and yoghurt chicken curry tonight.

Another strange weather day, really cold when I left this morning (cardigan and fleece cold), sunny and warm by lunchtime 🤔

Usual Wednesday morning meeting which went on a bit so was starving when I got home. Posh fishfinger sandwich quickly thrown together and a couple of hours of actual work done. Had to prioritise as off again tomorrow so some stuff will just have to wait!

Been swimming tonight so quick and easy reheated stroganoff from the freezer with some noodles and broccoli for tea when I got in.
