I went for my blood test this morning. I couldn't remember if I had to fast beforehand (thyroid) so I did just to be safe. I was hungry on the way back so I stopped at the local Buddhist cafe and bought a slice of cherry bakewell cake.:)
I have had the cake and then toast and an apple. It is lovely weather here, finally. The winter felt so long.

Confused by what day it is already 😂
Sun eventually came out but grey to start with and still a chill in the air. Enjoyed my walk into town at the end of my wfh day to run a couple of errands, though, and it's a nice evening.LO chicken and tomato pasta for lunch, and just had the traditional Tuesday early tea of beans with toast. I expect there will be something with a cuppa when I get home from swimming.

Wednesday I don't have to fast for my thyroid blood tests

I'm hoping someone local will lend a hand

Good morning everyone,
Drain company is due after 1pm and🤞 it's a simple job. I'll be very glad when it is dug out and replaced over coming weeks. It's a job that's been needing done for a very long time but involves dismantling the deck so have waited until that's happening anyway.
Surprise, surprise more voluntary admin today. Still lots of numbers to crunch before the next meeting on the 11th. That said I enjoy a bit of number work so not a chore. It's turning the results into something that makes sense to everyone else that's the hard bit!Lovely lasagne at my sister's last night. Fridge rake for lunch and DS2 is making Chicken chasni tonight.

Lovely sunny day here, and set for the day supposedly, if so I'll probably have a potter in the garden later
My wrist is improving, I can manage lifting the tea pot but not yet the kettle, I may have to pull out of Wimbledon this year 😁
Asda delivered on time, they subbed the eggs, sent Happy ones instead of sad Asda ones and the other fresh stuff has long dates, so all set for this weekend & next. Salad supplies must be improving, I noticed the lettuce & tomatoes are English grown, but it'll be a while before my own are available, I may put some toms into their final indoor conservatory position this weekend if sun keeps going
Lunch, last of the bacon + eggs I think
Dinner, now I have fresh meat supplies I'm back to having to decide, maybe HM burger with HM AF chips + salad?

It was chilly when I went out to my hopsital appointment today, but felt much warmer and sunny on the way home. I walked there and back so I'm at over 10,000 steps already. It is weird having medical appointments on time as in London you always had to wait. It is quite refreshing!
I bought some bread and fresh fruit and I had that when I got in. I did have a passionfruit yoghurt this morning too.

Good morning everyone,
The drain is still blocked so waiting to hear from the company what Plan B is. The chap did seem to identify what the problem (what we thought) but needs a super long very high pressure washer which he didn't have. The joys of old houses with very long gardens!! Unlikely to be fixed this week so it means the deck dismantling won't go ahead this weekend as we don't want Hector to be able to guddle in at it. Thankfully it's just grey water from the kitchen and I'm very careful about plate scraping etc. so it's not too smelly. Still very unpleasant though.
Potted on the sage cuttings I rooted from a supermarket pack of cut herbs. They rooted really well so fingers crossed they take.
Salady bit for lunch. Dinner will be curried sausages using spare chasni sauce (we deliberately make extra for this). various veg and HM wedges.0 -
Completely forgot to post yesterday.
Lunch yesterday and today was cumin roasted carrot, mixed grains and feta salad. Creamy leeks and cannellini beans with salmon last night.
Office day today and then went to vote so quick and easy chargrilled tuna steak with Mediterranean lentils, spinach and sun dried tomatoes tonight.
Feel absolutely exhausted for some reason so glad it’s a wfh day tomorrow and then another long weekend 🙃0
