Early trip to the hygienist this morning before work
the price has gone up again but seeing as my dentist only does annual checkups I'll keep going. Can't really complain as at least it a NHS dentist
work was a little less manic than yesterday but still nothing on my to do list has got done this week, we're firefighting at the moment 🙄 at least it makes the week / month / year go fast I can't believe next week is May already
Simple lunch on the run of Cheese, crackers and apple. Dinner was a spicy Far East influenced mince pork in lettuce 'cups' a throw together meal and very tasty just have to remember what I did and what I added to it 🤔😋Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Wet start but supposed to get warm with sunshine later, just doesn't seem like it right nowWhich leaves meal decisions a bit up in the air, do I freeze or eat the LO stew? Salad or stew for dinner?Lunch, at least I made an overnight loaf, so fresh bread sarnie, possibly some of the YS roast chicken?Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Good morning everyone,
Dull and drizzly here this morning.
DS1 and DIL-to-be seem to be coping okay with both pooches, though I think it's pretty full on!
Yesterday evening's meeting was quite challenging but came together in the end. Lots of follow up to do today and then I'm going to enjoy a bit of "me time". I'm still not completely recovered from the cold so an easy day is needed I think.
Cooked a sort of easy stew last night of mushrooms, Ikea meatballs, frozen veg and gravy. With a portion of mash from the freezer it hit the spot. LOs for lunch. Chicken and veg traybake tonight.0 -

it's been a long week at least it's a 3 day weekend and as I'm off next Friday next week is a three day week 🙂
I managed to burn my finger today, I microwaved my soup in the usual mug and the handle got so hot it burnt my finger enough to blister almost instantly even after running it under the tap for 10 minsI dropped the mug, it didn't break but my turkey soup ended up all over the microwave. It's a shame as the mug is a good size for a lunch time portion of soup but may end up in the bin. It made typing fun this afternoon
lunch ended up a yesterday LO pork mince in lettuce cups. Having eaten my dnner lunch time I I had a jacket potato with tuna Mayo and salad for dinner

Another long short week but made it through!
Dentist this morning but not as bad as I had thought it would be. Lots of work done, not necessarily what I planned to do but it all needed doing.
Had recovered enough to manage scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast for lunch. Made sausage, mushroom and spinach gnocchi tonight. Caught up with this week’s Blue Lights and tonight’s Masterchef so think I’m nearly up to date. There’s a few things at the moment that I’m choosing to watch weekly rather than binge but it is difficult 😉0 -
Sun trying hard to get going, but it's mild at lastUp early because I woke early, and it seemed a waste to lie there just waiting to get up, at least I had a cooked breakfast for a change, eggs on fried bread which I just fancied. Actually if anyone was going to cook it for me a full English / Scottish would have been nice with black pudding pleaseIf sun does arrive then a bit of garden pottering is on the cards, nothing arduous, tug a weed here & there sort of thing, the sun was out yesterday & spotted a slow work basking in the garden, I did have them a couple of years ago but thought they may have gone, nice to see them aroundInvite arrived for youngest granddaughter's birthday party on Monday, she's a teenager at last. How time flies, another GD bought her first car yesterday, after passing her test during the weekMeals today, BLT for lunch, with nuked LO beef stew for dinnerEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens1

Good morning everyone,
Dull and drizzly here today.
DS2 is due back in a couple of hours and the plan is to do some heavy cleaning this afternoon before Hector returns tomorrow.
DS1 and DIL-to-be are enjoying their break and the pooches are loving the outdoor spaces. Frank is very taken by the beach as he's only used to parks etc.
Cooked an extra chicken thigh yesterday so that will be shredded to add to salad wraps for lunch. I've taken HM pork, chorizo and mozzarella out to defrost for tonight.0 -
Chilled day, winding down into a bank holiday weekend. Turned into a lovely sunny day and has been dry and mild. Got a load of washing dry on the line 😊
I’ve also done a stock up shop at Lidl and cleared out a pile of clothes that really should have gone years ago - there’s only so many “decorating” outfits a girl needs 😂
Filled pasta, sun dried tomatoes, tuna and the end of the green beans for lunch. Sort of tapas tonight - one lonely fishfinger, the end of the halloumi marinated in honey, lemon and thyme, a quick tuna pate, olives, houmous, crudités and lovely fresh bread.0 -
Lovely day here I was in short sleeves from lunchtime 🌞
I popped out this morning and came home via the farm shop for a few bits and a large custard donut for lunch
went into town this afternoon to pickup some sandals ordered last weekend and then to Sainsbury for a few bits not available in FS.Roast chicken for dinner a YS from the freezer, not a full roast dinner just with tenderstem broccoli and runner beans. I tidied the fridge whilst it was cookingLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
A bit dull but mild and due to be sunny, it was very summery yesterday, like Brambling, but out in the garden doing" bits"Not sure if I've sprained it or the gout has crept about, but my right wrist is very weak & painful for an unknown reason, which makes just picking up a tea pot or cup impossible, good job we have two hands, but I'll certainly not be lifting any heavy pots or pans in the next few daysI can open the biscuit tin OK thoughLunch, could be eggs on toastDinner, solved due to wrist infirmity, nuke the last of the LO beef stewEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0
