  • Had a lovely long sleep last night (must have been all the fresh air) and had a lie-in so a very chilled day today 😉

I’ve done basic, essential domestics plus some life admin and some voluntary admin. Got another day out tomorrow so will be off to bed straight after watching the first episode of the new ITV drama.

Scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toasted bagel for lunch. Warm new potato, green bean and halloumi salad tonight. It used up the spuds but not all of the halloumi 🙄

I was one of the people that didn't get the emergency alert, apparently!
My sister and I were at the cafe in the garden centre and mine and several others went off 2.59 then some at 3 and some a minute later I'm assuming different networks my sister who had turned her phone off went off at 3.15 I'm not sure if that was after she turned it back on.  I understand if you are on three it didnt go off

A wet day so just some general in doors pottering this morning, this afternoon my sister and I went up to the garden centre cafe to use vouchers for a free hot drink with a piece of cake 😋.

Cheese and fruit for lunch to save room for cake 😁 I made a bean burger for dinner, the recipe made several, one kept out for Tuesday and the rest froze, rather than a bun I had it between two large mushrooms with a yoghurt dressing, lightly pickled red onions, asparagus and salad.  I may have benefited from being in a bun 🙂

No idea. I'm with Virgin and on 4G so there was no reason it shouldn't have gone off. I did step outside into the garden at two minutes to 3 to listen to how loud the alert was and didn't hear any alerts outside at the time either. Very comforting if it was a real emergency!

I'm having a coffee with oat milk at the moment.

Clouding over after a sunny start, with a cold wind, but I had no plans to go out so not a problem

I suppose the failed alert system is like the blown up rocket last week, they learn something from failures and hopefully improve next time round. I had mine turned off, didn't want it triggering the 5G chip implanted with my CV jab >:)

Lunch, the JKS scrambled eggs & mushrooms sounds appealing, especially as it's a bit chilly
Dinner, another RM MFO defrosting, this time it's veggie lasagne

    Good morning everyone,
I didn't get the alert (giffgaff/O2) nor did DS2 (Three). Going by news reports and local FB it seems to have been very patchy.
On the home straight with the admin challenge so hope to get the first stage of the payroll completed today.
Pepper and cashew nut chicken curry for dinner and salady bits for lunch.

Heavy rain here this afternoon, although not the hail and thunder my manager had about 14 miles away, his lordship does not appreciate the rain

lunchtime I made rock cakes which wasn't good for my waist line but for some reason I really fancied them, they were nice but something missing from what I remembered them tasting like. Having eaten a couple with afternoon cuppa they ended up in the freezer out of sight

lunch was a tomato and mozzarella salad.  Dinner another salad this one watercress and prawns

Cheese, crackers and apple for supper!

Sunshine with blue sky, but supposed to be tipping down alter, Brambling, I also had hail & thunder yesterday PM, so must have been a large lump going over

Age has caught up with me, a granddaughter passed her driving test yesterday, first time as well. Seems not that long back I was cheering her on as she wobbled down the path learning to ride a bike, and now she is looking for a car, of course

Lunch, grilled cheese on stale crust toast, maybe fried egg topped?
Dinner, with the rotten cold weather due I think another roast dinner, pork chop out defrosting, except for fresh carrots & HM roasties it will have to be all frozen veg this time

I've also taken an Essentials braising steak out to defrost for tomorrow's casserole

    Good morning,
We had a couple of quite wintry showers yesterday afternoon before it cleared and turned frosty overnight. It's a lovely, bright morning but still only a few degrees above freezing. The multiple layers are back on!
A bit more admin today but just routine stuff that shouldn't take too long.
Yesterday's curry was lovely. A bit more effort than I'd usually make on a week day but worth it. LOs for lunch. JO's salmon in a bag with HM sweet potato wedges and green veg.

  • Lovely bright, sunny day here - two loads line dried 🙃

Nice straightforward wfh day, no dramas, all quiet, lots done.

Tuna and green bean pesto pasta for lunch. Early beans with toast for tea, off swimming in a bit.
