  • Much better night’s sleep, thanks caronc.

I will raise you, Brambling, no meetings or Teams calls today! Gosh, I got lots done 😂

Torrential rain here all morning, did brighten up for a bit this afternoon but breezy and a stormy looking sky when I nipped into town to run a couple of errands (one of which was to collect a bargain raincoat from Joules - £30 down from £100, looks like I’ll get some use out of it…)

Filled pasta, tuna and sun dried tomatoes with a few peas chucked in with the pasta for lunch. Made chorizo, chickpea and spinach stew tonight, served with a dollop of Greek yoghurt and a toasted pitta.

No work for me until Tuesday now and I have two days out between now and then 🙃

I was very lazy and got myself an Indian takeaway last night. Chickpea curry with rice, popadoms etc...

I just had some toast and marg and Marmite and some water with lemon.

I might make loaded nachos for lunch or dinner as someone on another forum just mentioned them. Maybe loaded potato skins actually instead.

Bright but dull and the same time, and my heating came back on so cold as well, with possible frost tonight, arrggh!! Luckily, I've learnt not to put any tender plants out before May, but it may play havoc with all the fruit blossom

Lunch, tinned pork [Spam like] in a roll, I may fry the not Spam before use
Dinner, with the forecast I am defrosting a Shepherds' pie RM, which I'll have with carrots & root around for some frozen veg

    Good morning everyone,
Grey and cold here today with rain due this afternoon. DS1 and DS2 are heading to their Dad's to help him build a fence though I'm not sure how that will go if it's very wet. Hector will stay here with me so at least he won't be hindering things.
More voluntary admin today, I'm trying to convert what is basically a manual record keeping and payroll system to electronic. My IT skills are (just) adequate enough but rusty but I'm hoping I broke the back of the set up yesterday.
Fridge rake for lunch and peri peri chicken thighs with salad, coleslaw and HM wedges for dinner.
  • Lovely day out with friends today, mostly in the fresh air so feel nicely tired. Did a tiny bit of retail therapy too 😉

Good lunch and tea and cake out so just had a smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich for tea.

Just settled down to another vintage Shetland 😊

It was a beautiful day until about 10pm and we've had heavy rain ☔️ I drove out to the farm shop for a few bits not got in the SM and then in town with a small shopping list and a for a hair cut

Drove to my work town for dinner tonight, a leaving meal for a colleague, it was raining when we came out which stopped about half way home, just as well as I followed a driver the last four miles doing between 25/30 stepping hard on their brakes 🙄 not sure if age related, unfamiliar country road or they had been drinking but as I couldn't pass I was relieved when I could turn off, luckily the rain didn't get her until after I got home

Dull and damp / rain on the way for next couple of days, looking like warm comfort food may be top of my list
My heating keeps coming on at times, so hardly Spring like

    Lunch, another Spam like roll
Dinner, I've frozen Pukka pie somewhere, so that plus HM mash and frozen posh M & S mixed veg.
The weather is ideal for a casserole, but I've not got anything defrosted in time, bad planning there

    Good morning everyone,
It was dry and bright first thing but it's clouded over now so looks like the forecast for rain is correct. Definitely on the chilly side.
More admin today but I hope to have the new arrangements set up by this evening then I can start on the usual monthly stuff!
Gammon steaks for us tonight, DS2 has requested with egg rather than pineapple for a change. We'll have them with various veg and baby roasties. I also want to start a curry I'm making for dinner tomorrow. Pepper and Cashew Nut Chicken Curry – Chetna Makan LO peri peri chicken for lunch.

Pouring with rain here. I did manage to pop to the shop during a lull and so avoided getting wet. My Met weather app is quite accurate.

I had a sandwich with a pear and two clementines so far today.

I'm about to sit down and carry on with binge watching Gilmore Girls. I hope I remember about this alert!

I was one of the people that didn't get the emergency alert, apparently!

I had a veggie burger in a bun and then some ice cream.
