Bit of a lazy day here, weather was a bit damp and grey first thing, despite the forecast being good, so didn’t get outside as planned. Out late morning to have my hair cut then did grocery shop on the way home.
Scrambled eggs on toasted bagel for brunch, with the end of a bag of rocket for a bit of 5 a day. Pear, Stilton and walnut salad tonight.
Couple more episodes of old Shetland this evening 😊0 -
I worked this morning until 2pm and then kept a eye on emails until about 7pm
Late lunch of pear, red chicory and soft blue cheese salad almost snap again JKS. Dinner a nice easy stuffed aubergine from the freezerLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Grey, dull & chilly today, at least it's not rainingI suppose the £50 min spend will become universal as you say Caron, mind you I find it harder to get under that these days, and it's not all sirloin steaks.I did finalise my Asda list, butter reappeared as quickly as it vanished, so thought I'd get in PDQ before something else went out of stockNot decided on today's meals, lazy ones I think. I'm defrosting a pack of back bacon frozen last September, just checked was £1.99 when frozen, same pack is over £3 now
. Seems we have freezers full of cash
Lunch probably BLT if defrosted in timeDinner, I fancy something fishy, maybe posh fish Fs or one of the Harry Ramsden battered fillets I bought the other week, both with chips & peas of courseEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
Good morning everyone,
After a lovely day yesterday it's raining today.
Hector and Frank just played and played. Frank is a proper little Duracell cell bunny but was fast asleep within minutes of getting in the car and had to be woken when they got home. Hector was pretty broken last night but full of beans this morning.
The sous vide pulled pork was very good.
Veal schnitzel tonight with baby potatoes, mushrooms, roasted tomatoes, broccoli, green beans and peppercorn sauce.

I have a Tesco delivery tomorrow and I noticed the increased prices too. I need to log-in and add a few things to it thinking about it.
I had a nurse appointment the other day and I noticed many more people in the surgery wearing masks again. She said my blood pressure was very impressive, lol. I thought I was coming down with something as I kept sneezing afterwards. I did take paracetamol before bed, but then realised the next day that it must be hayfever.
I just had a wrap with houmous, salad and chilli sea salt.
I keep watching Netflix while we have the free trial. I am watching Gilmore Girls which is really good. It came out in 2000 so I'm not sure how I missed it the first time. I am almost finished with the first series which has 22 episodes and there are 6 more series after that so that should keep me busy for a while.

Slightly more productive day here - swept up from the gutters being replaced during the week, put a wash through and out on the line, changed the bed and dusted & hoovered the bedroom. Also did the insides of the upstairs windows 😇
Out for lunch today, followed by a short walk to make us feel better about what we had eaten. Had a smoked salmon, salad and horseradish mayo sandwich with a glass of wine this evening.
I’ve made veg and peanut noodle salad for a few days lunches this week (yummy peanut butter dressing) as I’ve got an extra office day and am refusing to make any more soup.0 -
Test negative this morning so just need to shake off the after effects 🤧 worked for about a hour first thing then shut down so I couldn't see the emails. Popped around to my sister for a cuppa and catch up this afternoon
Sad news from Dorset this evening that my aunt died today the last of that generation, she was 93 so a good age and lived on her own with carers coming in up until 2 weeks ago. She looked after my uncle until he died Nov 2020 and then almost instantly needed carers herself
Lurking avocado just reached the perfect stage, so crab stick and avocado salad for lunch. Dinner was roast pork, using a small pork joint from the freezer. I made a spinach and ricotta cannelloni bake when the oven was on 😋 I'll freeze some tomorrow

Good morning everyone,
Sorry you have lost your aunt Brambling.
Very overcast here today but dry so far.
Physio at lunchtime, I've not been for four weeks so looking forward to getting the kinks bashed even though I know I'll be sore for a few days afterwards. Yesterday seemed to disappear so I've a few things to catch up on when I get back.
I think my washing machine is slowly on the way out, it was a cheap one but has lasted 10 years and had lots of use so can't complain. DS2 cleaned out the filter etc. yesterday and it's been through a 90C wash without sounding odd so maybe that was all that it needed. Time will tell.
Crackers and salad for lunch. Trying a new recipe tonight black pepper chicken curry with cheesy, chilli naan from Chetna Makan's 30 minute Indian book.0 -
Sorry about your aunt.xx
It is a beautiful day here. I played with my dog in the garden for a while.
I had chickpea soup for brunch with fresh fruit as I'm out of bread. I had mashed potatoes and steamed veggies for lunch as I still felt hungry.
