Condolences, Brambling. Never easy but at least your aunt and uncle are together now 🙏Turned into a lovely day here too but have been in the office all day, not really sure where the day went tbh, it seemed a bit manic.
Portion of the peanut and veg noodles for lunch, sprinkled with sesame seeds. Made a yummy bacon, leek and pea pasta tonight. Already looking forward to LOs tomorrow 😋0 -

it has been a lovely sunny day today, I popped out lunchtime for milk at T Express and realised I was in too many layers 🌞 my lovely neighbour mowed my lawn before lunch and then called later to say he had covid and was going to bed, not caught from me as we tend to have long distance chats over the fence. If his daughter can't get over I'll pick up a couple of bits tomorrow for him
I picked up a nice bread roll so lunch was a pork roll. Dinner a portion of spinach and ricotta cannellini 😋 it was a recipe from my head so not repeatable 😁 I have a half portion left and two portions went in the freezer.

Hopefully it's my turn for a sunny & warm day, never happened here yesterday, despite reports from elsewhere. If sun does persist, I may just get out into the garden for a bit of potteringUsual e-mail from Asda, running out of eggs & on offer chutney this time. Delivery tomorrow morning so can only wait & seeLunch is just bacon sarnie, the L & T part of BLT has been used up, so it's B + brown sauce todayDinner, frozen ready meal for one, ether spaggy something or chicken korma. I'm still slowly making space and using the long-lost items from the freezer before I put more in there

Good morning everyone,
My poor DIL-to-be had a mishap yesterday evening and ran a sewing machine needle right through her finger and had to go to A&E to get it removed!
Lovely sunny day here but very breezy, a good drying day.
Discovered yesterday I had accidently (despite being labelled) defrosted chicken wings instead of thighs. Lovely chap that he is, DS2 patiently skinned them for me so I could carry on making the planned curry but he says never again!
DS2 is up in Glasgow Frank sitting, so I've got Hector. My sis and nephew are here tonight for dinner. I made up a batch of pork, chorizo and mozzarella burgers, if DS2 is back at a decent time we might light the bbq.
LO curry for lunch.0 -
I thought the weather was supposed to be nice this week. It is quite chilly here!
I had toast and tea for breakfast and I just made a stir fry for lunch.0 -
Ooh, caronc, your poor DIL-to-be, that made me wince when I read it - hope she’s ok.
Very sunny here but also very windy, good for drying so two bedding loads out on the line 😀
LO pasta for lunch. Just had smashed avocado and scrambled eggs on toast before swimming later.0 -
I'm another one who winced Caronc maybe Kevlar gloves like butchers wear as a gift 🙂
grey and windy here, unfortunately not as sunny as yesterday. Long work day with short late lunch due to back to back meetings. My new for me mobile (my nephew found me a refurbished one) arrived today, my old one at 8 years old is giving up the ghost so this evening was spent setting it up with some swearing.Lunch was a pork roll using LO roast pork. A nice quick dinner after a late finish of Scampi and chips with veg for dinnerLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Good morning everyone,
Yes a very "wincy" accident, the photo was not for the squeamish!
Sunny and breezy here today, it got very chilly last night a looks as though it could be frosty tonight.
Ended up with my sister's pooch overnight, she'll collect him this evening. Ari and Hector are now both snoozing after some very energetic play in the garden earlier.
LOs for lunch. Shepherd's pie for dinner, not very seasonal but there's peeled spuds left from making crispy potato skins yesterday and cooked lamb from Easter in the freezer so a nice and easy one.0 -
Mixed sun & cloud with a very cold wind, best indoorsThe Asda delivery arrived, one sub, spring onions for celery. Apart from being salad I fail to spot any link, however it's ages since I've had spring onions, so I've kept themOH, and I forgot to add milk on the list
, but I do have some so no much of a problem
I also forgot to put a loaf on for overnight, so no bread eitherLunch, with zero bread, I think open a tin of veg chilli I bought on offer, hoping it's better than the veg curry I bought at the same time, I had to bin that, just not niceDinner, now I've restocked I think a salad, with spring onions, baked / nuked spud. Somewhere in the freezer I have smoked mackerel fillets, so I'll see if I can locate thoseEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
A day of many meetings - 3 at work and a voluntary one this evening.
More peanut noodle salad for lunch and tuna steak with Mediterranean lentils, spinach and sun dried tomatoes before I went out to the last meeting.Bedtime, I’m exhausted!0
