I've spent the day thinking it was Monday 🤷♀️ So it was just as well my manager suggested we cancel tomorrow's meeting as I hadn't prepared and I run it 🙄
We needed to lunch at noon today which threw me a little, I used the last of the watercress to make a cheese and crab stick salad. Bean burger and salad for dinner we didn't finish work until after 6pm and the early lunch meant I was hungry

Dull & cold morning, very uninspiring, at least I had an overnight loaf to get up to, nice fresh bread smell at leastToday's highlight is taking an electric meter reading and maybe sow some more beansLunch, back to BLT now I have fresh breadDinner, it's low & slow beef casserole, defrosted a nice bit of braising steak, so I'll get that in with the rest of it and warm up the kitchen while it's slowly cookingI may pop some dumplings in if I get round to itEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

I had a cucumber sandwich and a cup of lemon green tea for breakfast.
I have nothing planned again. Just more TV watching and a shopping delivery later. My husband is getting a hair cut at a local place on his way home from work.0 -
Good morning everyone,
Cloudy and chilly here but supposed to stay dry. I've a couple of loads of laundry pegged out so hoping the rain stays away.
Domestics and bit more admin today.
LOs for lunch then chilli from the freezer for dinner probably with rice as some of the spuds in the current bag have been iffy in the middle so don't want to risk baking them and I don't fancy wedges.0 -
work was manic today, came in to over 50 emails in our team mailbox and they kept coming in all day as did the first of the team calls and meetings and my own email box. We all left saying nothing planned was achieved today, darn system upgrade 10 days ago was causing issues and it end of month
TBH not all system issues some are training issues and we have users we would love to remove access from!
Sausage sandwich for lunch with HP sauce. I forgot to take my planned dinner out of the freezer so dinner was a small cheese and tomato pizza with added vegetables cooked in the AF it just fits if I put a strip of tin foil under it to help lift it in and out.
I realised at 8 that my milk is a couple of days OOD and rather than risking no tea in the morning i popped to T express for milk and some salad stuff spinach and a YS iceberg lettuce for 20p with a pack of 5% mince of 88p I did avoid buying anything else in the YS sectionLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Bright and sunny again but still cold at the beginning and end of the day, really hope May brings some warmer weather.
Out to my usual Wednesday morning meeting but home in good time so made a posh fishfinger sandwich for lunch.Swimming again tonight so nice, quick hoisin beef noodles with carrot and red pepper when I got back.
Caught up with last night’s Masterchef - some “interesting” creations…😂0 -
Good morning everyone,
"Interesting" is one description JKS!
Cold and tipping it down here this morning. DS2 left early to head to the office. He's not home until Saturday afternoon. Just Hector and me until this evening when DS1 is picking him up to look after him until Sunday. DS1 and DIL-to-be are away up North for the weekend with both dogs. I'm not sure they've quite realised what they've let themselves in for!
Committee meeting for my voluntary admin tonight dinner will probably be "something on toast". LO chilli for lunch.

Dull, grey & cold, I went for eye test this morning and it was bitter. At least the eyes are OK, well one is the other is new prescription, so new specs needed, which I had assumed would be the outcome any way because the TV was starting to look a bit "fuzzy"Was hoping to go into Marks on way home, but parking was nightmare, which I guess is down to pending BH + Teacher strike, so it was good old Costcutter, luckily too early for chippy, or it would've been a fish & chip lunch stopJust milk and YS chicken & YS cheese + chives which has all worked out splendidly, dinner is now YS roast chickenLunch, AF cheapo fish F sarnie + ketchupDinner, the roast YS chicken and ? Salad maybe? CBA to do roast meal to go with the chickenEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Office day today, couple of good meetings and lots of productive catch ups.
Bit of a thrown together lunchbox lunch of couscous with dried cranberries, cherry tomatoes, Stilton and walnuts. Dinner was also a “creation” - prawn and chorizo rice with red pepper and green beans chucked in. Both fairly successful 🙃0
