'Morning, weak sunshine & the Asda delivery has been & gone.
Couple of subs, medium for large eggs, cherry for normal toms but mainly fine this time, and pork chops arrived at last :)

Not up too much today, I may get fiddling with the TV, seem to have lost few stations using the not so smart TV, but they are there via the recording box so still on air so to speak. I'll not spend too much time on it 'cos I can always use the recording box feed
Gone are the days when a good thump on the side of the TV would sort it out

Lunch, now salad has been delivered a salad sarnie is tempting, oozing salad cream of course
Dinner, has to be pork chop now I have some, and the use by date is only a couple of days away, very tempted to have it with LO as bubble & squeak, nuked fresh mushrooms + couple of eggs

I feel quite tired even though I was allowed a lie-in today as my dog is at the kennel until tomorrow. We went to Aldi and to Coop today and we cleared out some of the stuff from the shed to put up in the attic. I'm almost at 10,000 steps already. I'm just going to put my feet up and watch more of the current show I'm on.

I had toasted pitta bread for breakfast and a chickpea wrap from Aldi for lunch. I didn't rate the wrap but I bought it as I hadn't tried it before. The problem with Aldi is that everything seems such a bargain that I buy more than I mean to! I got some daffs and tulips in there as well as it does feel like Spring is on the way.

I bought some fresh bread from Coop so I am going to make lentil soup to have with it later.

Now you're making think I need to sort my larder cupboard Caronc- make sure nothing lurking at the back

I've been dead on my feet today and not a lot of work done as I was woken by phone call 12.30 last night it was the emergency centre to say a elderly friend (85) had pressed her alert button and wasn't responding, I'm third on her contact list but her two neighbours hadn't picked up, they had called an ambulance. She had fallen on way to bathroom when I got there so I picked her up off the floor and spoke to the ambulance service, as I thought she had another stroke from the slight face droop and her speech.  2 hours later she made me cancel it as she was going to bed and she admitted it had occurred along with other symptoms at the end of last week but she seen anyone so there was no point in having then 'waste their time'. It was 3.30am before I got home then I couldn't sleep 😴 I did make her call the doctor this morning and they called a ambulance after speaking on the phone, I refrained from saying I told you so.

Lunch was turkey soup, I forgot to take dinner from the freezer but found a YS cheese slice  (Higgidy) and AF it

  • Ugh, another day of meetings but not as enjoyable as yesterday. Due to things overrunning and timings changing, I didn’t come home at lunchtime as planned so ended up with a Tesco sandwich meal deal for lunch. It was a perfectly acceptable tuna sandwich but no idea why people see the deal as a treat, except the cost 😮

Quick prawn and cashew egg fried rice tonight with sugar snap peas and red pepper in.

    So tired, can’t believe it’s only Wednesday…

    How is she today Brambling?

I have had pineapple and green tea this morning. I am going to have the leftovers of the lentil soup I made with bread and marg before I go out. The weather report says light rain, but it looks quite sunny and bright.

Don't let that fool you ;) , it was the same here earlier but just as I started a spot of seed sowing the rain arrived, now stopped but forecast is for "persistent rain" later. At least the Californian poppy seeds are sown

Not to sure about lunch, maybe egg sarnie?
Dinner, if the rain does settle in, it's LO braised steak & LO mash & cabbage. Otherwise, it's pork chop, HM chips & salad

    Good morning everyone,
Hope your neighbour is okay Brambling.
Grey and damp here today. Ari and Hector were both bundles of energy yesterday. Usually Hector is the instigator of any mischief but it was evenly spread between the two of them yesterday! Still managed to get 2/3rds of the larder cupboard tidied out - yes there were a few very old bits lurking at the back! I've other things to do today but hopefully I'll get another shelf at least tackled today.
LO pasta for lunch and yoghurt chicken curry with rice for dinner.
  • Yep, the bright weather has turned to persistent looking rain here ☔️

Another day of meetings but back to useful, productive ones. Also, not as many so got some other bits done too. My list of things I need to do tomorrow whilst wfh is challenging though…

Second portion of the Thai spiced carrot and lentil soup with a toasted pitta for lunch. Creamy leek and mushroom pasta with green beans tonight.

Hope there’s positive news about your neighbour today, Brambling.

Elderly friend is still in hospital having test having spent most of last night waiting for a bed she was complaining about being in a geriatric ward, she's 85! I'm hoping not a mixed ward like last time as she is still complaining about that 🙂

Early 6am start today thanks to the furry alarm clock thinking if it's light it's time for breakfast he doesn't know it yet but he's sleeping downstairs tonight 😾

another portion of turkey soup for lunch 😋 dinner was a quick vegetable curry using some curry sauce from the freezer

It started drizzling just on my way home yesterday and raining just as I walked in the door!

I had the last of the soup with a toasted ciabatta and a cup of coffee for breakfast.
