    Good morning everyone,
I can relate to that Wednesday  though Hector does a decent job of creating mayhem on his own!
Tipping it down here, I hope it's eased a bit by the time I need to head to physio. I'm very stiff and sore this morning so looking forward to it even though I know I'll feel battered afterwards.
Make a pan of leek, potato and pea soup yesterday so will have some for lunch. Tonight it's refried bean wraps. DS2 cooked the beans yesterday so just salsa etc. to sort out later.

I had steamed veggies with chips and gravy for lunch. It was exactly what I was craving.

I am really craving a cup of tea too, but I have run out of teabags. I am going to pop to the shop to get some as the workman is here tomorrow and he will probably want tea!

  • A wfh day today as the day to have smart meters fitted finally arrived. I’m now obsessed by the little gadget - nearly fainted the first time I boiled the kettle and saw the gauge whizz round 😬. Thankfully, a mild (if damp) day so heating not been on much at all, even this evening.

Mushrooms and cream cheese on toasted bagel for lunch. One of the cooked chicken thighs from yesterday went into a jambalaya with some chorizo tonight, served with green beans.

As much as I love puppies and kittens getting his lordship when he was 5 was a lot less hard work than the last kitten I got, although he had his / has moments and came with 'baggage' he never climbed the walls 😾

Another grey drizzling day here and set in for the rest of the month I think ☔️

I made turkey soup lunch time from the stock I made yesterday  😋 very tasty and I was tempted into having two mugs of it  :) Dinner was chicken wings, wedges, corn on the cob and coleslaw

A bit damp but bright, as with Brambling, on & off rain for the rest of the week

Yesterday's microwave Pukka pie was fine, may not suit purists, but I'm fine with softer pastry, went well with mash, fresh "greens" & gravy

I've a defrosted a big bit of braising steak for tonight. Should give two meals once cooked
Must add some to my Asda list but depends if they try & cancel other items already on there.
I've had a mail this morning about some shortages on my list for tomorrow, seems to be more & more missing items.
If I try & fiddle adjust they remove the shortage items, if I leave it alone they sub them, so mostly I just leave the list well alone hoping the short items, like spuds, will be in store come delivery day

Lunch probably cheapo fish finger sarnie with posh ketchup
Dinner, braised steak & onions, with mash & steamed cabbage and some frozen veg TBD

    Good morning everyone,
As anticipated I'm bruised and sore after physio yesterday, definitely feels like progress getting made now and not back for 4 weeks.
Need to make the effort to keep moving today so I don't seize up. I noticed when coming home via the front yesterday just how dirty my front windows were (I don't think they've been washed this year!) so if the rain stays off I'll tackle those today. It's job I quite enjoy and not too bendy so should be fine.
Sis and nephew here for dinner tonight - stovies have been requested. I cooked them yesterday so just need to reheat later. Hm soup for lunch.

I had crumpets and marmalade for breakfast with a couple of cups of coffee as I had to get up early for the workman.

We ate out at a bar for lunch.

I'm cooking for one tonight. I'm not sure what to have as I had a big lunch, veggie burger and fries. I will think about it later as I'm still full up.

  • Office day of many meetings but all really positive and/or useful, my brain is tired though 😂

Thai spiced carrot and lentil soup with a toasted pitta for lunch. Just had reheated LO jambalaya for early tea - I’m off to a voluntary admin meeting in a bit.

Hardly any heating needed today 😀

Enjoy cleaning windows Caronc  :o that's like saying you like ironing 😁

Farway if you could pop the pie in the AF at the end to crisp the pastry up a bit 🥧

Today was very much like yesterday which is no bad thing 🙂 no heating was required although it is just getting cold now. His lordship was a PITA this morning he decided he wanted out at 6am which after a bad night wasn't very amusing 🙄 I think it's my sinuses as it feels bruised under my left eye and between that and being tired my tinnitus has been loud the last few days again

Turkey soup for lunch 😋 Dinner was LO beef with LO vegetables so a ping day rather than a cooking day

    Good morning everyone,
Chaos here today as Ari ended up staying over as my sis had to head to Edinburgh first thing and my nephew had a shift change. Him and Hector are both full of beans this morning.
Managed to get the windows done yesterday so as the weather turned very wet & windy overnight they'll no longer be gleaming. I least I know they've been done. I'd much rather clean windows than iron Brambling
Today's and probably tomorrow's job is to tidy out the larder cupboard as it's another thing that's annoying me and I can't think when it was last properly done (first lockdown?). I've cleaned individual shelves but not had everything out at once. I suspect there are still bits that came from my Dad's and his house was emptied around 4 years ago! With this already on my mind this morning's article amused me somewhat https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyl ... as-to-stop
LO stovies for lunch and pasta with a chorizo, pesto and tomato sauce for dinner.
