    Non-stop rain here today.

Such a contrast, sunshine here and the wind has dropped, could even think it's Spring as some celandines are open as well, a nice cheery yellow

Frank, there's a dog to win hearts, even as he chews your place to bits

Food, very undecided, I've run out of bread until new loaf is baked in the Panny, but found a ready to bake pack of baguettes, but BBE is last Oct :o , they look OK so will probably try one for lunch but unsure about any filling right now. Of course, it may just go straight into the bin

Dinner, I still have LO roast chicken so could be that plus HM AF chips & LO beans, the salad option is no more because just toms & cuc left so would be very sparse

    Good morning everyone,
Cold and grey here so far though it's supposed to clear and then freeze this evening. I do hope it doesn't turn icy early as we are off to my sister's for dinner.
Young Frank is keeping DS1 on his toes, DIL-to-be was out at work so just him yesterday. I don't think he realised before that although young pups sleep a lot just how "busy" they are when awake. I don't think he got much work done!
LO curry for lunch, the recipe worked quite well though I did add some chilli and salt as it needed a bit of oomph and I'd make the paneer more crispy next time. That said minor points in an otherwise easy and tasty dish.

It has brightened up a lot here and it is gorgeous and sunny now. I just tidied and reorganised the kitchen a bit so there is less clutter on the surfaces and made myself the cauliflower soup and I will pop out to the shop while the weather is like this.

  • Yes, it’s been a bit four seasons in one day here - sun, sleet, rain at various times.

Back from a lovely family weekend and tuned back into CFO. Tuning back into work was slightly harder 😬

Was sent home with a sandwich for the journey yesterday, along with some LO roast pork shoulder. So, made pork and mushroom stroganoff last night, served with buttered noodles and broccoli.

LO stroganoff and some freshly cooked noodles for lunch today. Just had my usual early tea of beans with toast so I can swim later.

Farway kindly shared his good weather today 🙂 just a shame I was stuck indoors working. Usual work day for me, no meetings so time to get things done before tomorrows two

I ate from the freezer today, trying to decrease the LOs.  Tomato and sweet potato soup for lunch (aka nanas magic soup) with a toasted cheese pita.  Dinner was large mushrooms stuffed with rice, lentils and vegetables with goat cheese.  The container was labeled stuffed peppers so I'm assuming the container marked stuffed mushrooms will be the peppers!

i arranged for someone I know who is a interior designer to come around on Friday to offer advice on my changes I want to make with my lounge / dining room I had things planned the beginning of 2020!! So time to get started I want doors out to the garden and storage added and I know the walls will need plastering 😐 its budgeted for and the money has been sitting waiting 🙂

I was thinking about getting that done. Do you mind telling me what quote you get?:)

I felt a bit ill last night. I had a runny nose for a couple of days, but I thought it might have been early hayfever. I started feeling feverish last night and took paracetamol and crashed out. I woke up this morning and I had fallen asleep with all the lights on in my bedroom. I took ibuprofen and went back to sleep and feel fine now. If that was Covid again it was even more mild than in January.

I just had a cup of coffee and three crumpets with marg and Marmite.

    Good morning everyone,
We had lots of noisy hail yesterday, Hector didn't know if he was intrigued or scared! It cleared late afternoon and by the time we left my sister's about 8.30pm was turning frosty. It's very icy out this morning but we've to get rain later.
Hector sitting today as DS2 is off to Glasgow to look after young Frank as DS1 has to go to a meeting. I'm hoping to see him on Saturday, my sister will bring Ari over so it will be 3 pooch mayhem but the sooner we can get them all to get to know each other the better and will make life easier in the long run. So far Frank has sat in on two online meetings, destroyed a cloth and tried to eat DS2's laces. DS2 has just sent me this photo - butter wouldn't melt.

At my sister's for dinner yesterday - warm salad with spinach, potatoes, black pudding and chorizo. Served with winter slaw and crusty bed. Very tasty.
Cajun spiced salmon and roast veg for us tonight. Fridge rake for lunch.

Frosty start but soon warmed up with a weak sun

Into town earlier, needed milk & some garden bits from Home Bargains, but then found I had left my loose change on the mantle piece, so no pound for the trolley :o , and there wasn't any full fat milk either :'( . Good job Marks is in same area so went in there, for milk + salad bits, some YS hot cross buns fell into my basket as I went by

The well past BBE PB baguettes were OK, tad dry as to be expected, but I'll have the last one for lunch, with my new salad stuff filling + cheese
Dinner. I still have LO roast chicken, so tempted to make a small Coronation chicken and have with fresh salad tonight. I have "baby" new potatoes that have been in the fridge since forever, so will go well with LOs

  • Cold and frosty start here (must be getting to the end of car scraping season surely 🥶) but the rain came in during the afternoon and feels much milder.

Out to my usual Wednesday morning meeting but home for lunch so scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast. Swimming again this evening so a quick tuna and broccoli pesto pasta when I got back.

I like short weeks, Thursday tomorrow already 😀
