Sunshine after overnight rain, looking soggy out but at least it's warmer & brighterBrambling, oh these councils sharing services, saves money, so they say, but my one has just uncombined themselves from the join, the bins and other services were just not getting the attention they once had and hence were worse not betterHopefully, letter first should resolve any further problems for youAnother day of undecided meals, well bare bones are known but details are sketchyLunch, I have some mince left so perhaps a burger of some sortDinner, I have LO roast chicken and thinking along line of cold chicken, nuked baked spud + salad bitsEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Good morning everyone,
I have a second Grandpup.DS1 and DIL-to-be got him yesterday. He's a 8 week old Working Cocker Spaniel called Frank and is very cute, I hope to meet him next weekend. I'm not sure what Hector will think. My poor sister's pooch, he's just got used to Hector
I didn't get much done yesterday - too busy on WhatsApp watching Frank explore his new home.
It was snowing quite heavily when I went to bed but it's all gone this morning a it's a dreich, wet day. Much milder though.
BLT without the L for lunch, might cook some mushrooms instead. Roast chicken dinner tonight with cauli cheese, roasties, carrots, parsnips, tenderstem, HM YPs and gravy. I made the the YPs last night using my new bun tin, what a difference to my last batch which stuck. That said my previous tin was a cheap one from Woolworth many moons ago, it had served me well.

Yorkshires look delicious Caronc 😋 we will want pictures of new pup 😁
I'm sitting watching the end of pottery throw down trying to summon the energy to go to bed 🥱 my nephew and family are moving this week as their landlord is selling, it was a nightmare finding somewhere they could afford and it's costing them £100 a month more for a smaller house (2 bed not 3) They have been so disorganised in packing (or not packing) and have so much stuff, he takes after his dad and granddad in never throwing anything away. My sister was there yesterday and phoned worrying last night so I went over today to help, kitchen is now packed up and cleaned and contents loaded in hire van by mum and auntie. It will be a miracle if it happens by Tuesday, I can see them moved but not cleaned so losing deposit, they have had keys for new rental for two weeks so it should have been easier 🙄 Baby had the sniffles today and was very clingy to mum so hopefully she will be ok, could be the dust. I was very good at biting my tongue, but he's nearly 30!!Lunch was a cheese and ham sandwich on the go. I got home about 7 and had eggs on toast whilst the water heated and then had a hot bath hoping to ease my aching hip listening to a old desert island disc podcast with Gary Barlow drinking the last of my sloe gin found under the stairs yesterdayit was very mature as it was made pre covid 😋

It is very, very windy here. I went outside as I saw the Amazon delivery driver was nearby and he couldn't get in our gate as the wind had blown the gate shut. He couldn't get in as it wouldn't budge so I had to go out and get the parcel off him!
I've had a toastie and a cup of hot chocolate this morning. I'm just having some chilled green tea with lemon. I'm trying to cut down on the amount of bottled water I drink.
I didn't really rate the Aldi Thai curry pot I had yesterday as it was quite bland for my taste. It was fine, but I probably wouldn't buy it again. I think I might make pasta later as I have courgettes, onion, peppers and sweetcorn so to me that says pizza or pasta.

Windy here as well, it woke me up about three, sunny thoughCaron, sounds like a lot of dog sitting around your place, but dogs are good company and generally good if mad when youngBrambling, sometimes I wonder just how the younger ones can afford somewhere, but they seem to.Nothing changes, when I was a nipper our landlord sold up, and we had to move, from a detached bungalow with large garden to a ground floor flat, in fact it was around this time of year as St Paddy's Day sticks in my mindNot much doing today, change bedding exciting
, and maybe sow some tomatoes
Lunch, grilled cheese on toast and may bung an egg on topDinner, more LO cold roast chicken, again with salad but this time maybe HM AF chipsEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
Good morning everyone,
Sorry to disappoint with a food instead of Frank photo!
Here you go - doesn't he have the most gorgeous, long eyelashes.
Windy here today, the wind is freezing. It is supposed to get quite wintery again later.
Domestics and a bit of admin on the "to do".
Various LOs from yesterday to sort out, some will get used for lunch and I'll freeze the rest. Might make some soup to use up the cauli leaves and some lurking leeks.

it was very windy over night and this morning, I was woken up several times during the night, it's wet now but calmer
lunch was a portion of leek and potato soup from the freezer, this week I plan to eat some of the stockpile of HM RM aka LOs 😀 Sea bass for dinner (it always tastes better YS 😋) with new potatoes and green veg and a salsa verdeLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Non-stop rain here today.
I have just had some (defrosted) mango chunks and then PB on wholemeal toast and a cup of coffee with soya milk.
I rearranged my airing cupboard yesterday, rather excitingly. I haven't really got much to do today. I was going to pop to the shop, but I managed to get a grocery delivery for this afternoon so I don't need to. I don't really want to go out in this weather anyway.2025 GOALS
