I was thinking about getting that done. Do you mind telling me what quote you get?:)
Will do unfortunately I'm sure it will be a lot more than I was quoted three years ago 🙄

it's very tiring being a puppy Caronc 😁

I don't think we had a frost unless it was very early but it was definitely a bit chilly out. It was a noisy day as someone had tree surgeons so train saws and shredders most of the day.  It must be the time of the year for it as we have had several lately.

My two meetings turned into four so that was my morning gone 😐 I'm off Friday sI tomorrow is my last day of the week 🙂

lunch and dinner were both freezer rummages, another portion of nanas magic soup with cheese on toast for lunch and lamb curry and rice for dinner I just need to re where the recipe came from 🙄

Thanks Brambling. If we get it done it will be next year now, but I would like to have doors out to the garden, especially if we have regular heatwaves.

I've been having a cup of coffee first thing, but I read that it can interfere with my thyroid medication so I will have it later in the morning.

I feel very tired today again and it has been pouring with rain. I left my husband's top out on the line yesterday to test if it will dry in these temperatures and woke up to find it soaking wet outside as I forgot to bring it in!

I have some leftover soup to eat for lunch. I realised the recipe said to put curry powder in and I forgot so I will add some.

I'm going to have an avocado and salad roll for breakfast with some herbal tea.

Mild & the sun is trying hard to get going.
Hope it succeeds because I have a spot of gardening I'd like to get on with, just potting up, but far nicer in sunshine than cold gloom

At last the LO chicken is coming to an end, I did make Coronation chicken with it yesterday, and now I have just enough to fill my lunchtime sarnie
Dinner, is what looks like a nice piece of rib-eye steak, with HM AF chips, but may have a freezer rummage & see if any ready-made are lurking that need using up. I'll also have fried eggs, grilled toms & use up mushrooms

    Good morning everyone,
Wet but mild here this morning, such a temperature contrast to yesterday.
Hector sitting again today, as DS2 was away before 6am to head to the office. I don't mind as he's pretty much past the constant work stage though he's full of mischief this morning. He was very good all day yesterday, I think strain must have been too much!
Have to share this - perfect "poster pup" shot DS2 took yesterday, needless to say Frank was rolling about the floor with the basket seconds later. <3

LO roast veg in a wrap for lunch and spag bol for dinner using a tub of HM ragu from the freezer.
  • Busy office day but lots of productive meetings and catch ups so really enjoyed it. Mad weather - was 9 degrees warmer this morning than at the same time yesterday 🤔

Had the last portion of soup from the freezer (curried parsnip) with a toasted pitta for lunch. Have made a couple of portions of Thai carrot and lentil soup this evening to use up half an onion and a couple of sad carrots.

Red Thai chicken and broccoli curry tonight with rice (chicken from the freezer, LO from a roast I think and the rice was the second half of a Lidl pouch, also from the freezer).

It was my Friday today, just as well as I'm scattered 🥱 and today had its moments 😐 I did lay down some ground rules in a team meeting we are a very small team about to get smaller with another team member who has a lot of 'sick' and time off for family reasons. As it is there will be two weeks after a project go live where I'm going to be on my own for a lot of the time, I think I shocked the boss as I told him I wasn't running myself into the ground working silly hours! I also told him I was spending tomorrow job hunting 😁 which I'm not just yet but only because I'm considering early retirement next May but I have had a look to see what's about

Late lunch after another meeting of minestrone soup from the freezer, last of the frozen soup will be eaten tomorrow so I'll be cooking more at the weekend. Dinner was also from the freezer, shepherds pie and green veg, I added some feta I needed using to the mash and it was very tasty 😋

    He is so cute!

I'm having mushrooms and avocado on toast for breakfast. I'm about to have a bath. It is pouring with rain here.

Dull, damp & misty here, with rain on the way.

Perfect pup picture there Caron, who could resist him?

Lots of electrical "stuff" going wrong here, nothing expensive, just inconvenient.
My bathroom "flying saucer" light went pop last night, flashed, then died :'( .

With my balance & puff problems, I was very wary about getting up a step ladded to replace the tube but thought I'd give it a go before asking DS to do what is a very minor job.
This morning I cautiously went up, it only required one step up for me to reach the fitting, tube out & new one on the way for tomorrow, Yay :)

And seems all the "button" type batteries have died as well, my bathroom scales and a couple of digital thermometers. Once again, new ones on the way with delivery tomorrow

Amaz0n may not pay much tax, but they are handy

Meals, a bit mixed because I'm not really feeling hungry and may have yet another cold on the way, hope not, but they do seem to be around

Lunch, could just settle for last hot X bun, I had same for breakfast. Or maybe use up manky mushrooms in omelette
Dinner, grilled gammon steak, maybe with eggs & HM chips

    Good morning everyone,
    Grey and damp here today.
No pooch sitting today, though DS2 is holed up in meetings so Hector is with me. I'll pop him in the "office" when Tesco come.
A few bits to do today, I need to sweep through but will wait to mop until after Frank's visit tomorrow. I can't see there not being puddles with all the excitement!
LO pasta for lunch and chicken wings with roast veg for dinner.
  • Nice, quiet wfh day today. Weather was very frustrating, forecast to be rainy on and off all day…just before lunch, I chucked a load of towels in the wash as it was glorious out, they got fairly well dried but could have done with getting them out earlier 🙄

Posh fishfinger sandwich for lunch and made creamy leeks and beans with salmon and broccoli tonight.
