His lordship and I are currently not talking, he bit my hand he didn't draw blood but it hurt so I shouted at him.  He's gone to bed to sulk no doubt he will forgive me for shouting by breakfast 😾

Usual work day and tonight I went to Sainsbury to use some vouchers before they ran out, signs all over the empty salad section and someone complaining that Waitrose was the same it seems neither had eggs as well. I have some salad left from the weekend and TBH it's not a issue for me but I do eat a lot of peppers but recipes can be rejigged, if my sister goes to the farm shop tomorrow she will get be a couple if they have some.  I sailed out pass the petrol station which was one of the reasons for going to Sainsbury so will need to sort that in the next few days but as I've no plans to drive far It's ok for now

Lunch was a sausage sandwich, I haven't brought beef sausages for years but had some beef and black pepper chipolatas brought YS in the freezer they were very tasty 😋 cooked in the airfryer.  Dinner was also Thai green curry with tofu and noodles

I'm going for a walk this morning so I think I will have a big breakfast. It felt very cold when I popped out to the shop last night, but it didn't seem too bad when I just let my dog out to the garden.

Much colder this morning, bright but no sun

Out early posting a letter, the post box is at Morrisons', not the nearest box, but it's one with ease of parking and not blocking the roads etc, so took the opportunity to have YS browse round, a few YS bits, whole chicken & cheese and some nice Not YS loose baking spuds, plus a pack of jam doughnuts later headed home

Now I have a YS chicken I need to cook that, but also have the opened mince, now my cunning plan is chicken & a chilli in the oven at same time, then dinner is one or the other depending on how I feel at the time

Salad area was empty, sort of hoped to find a lettuce but no luck, not the end of the world for me though, jam doughnuts will just have to suffice for now

Lunch, probably cheese & raw onion sarnie with what I have in
Dinner, either roast chicken or chilli con Carne, make my mind up later

    Good afternoon everyone,
Dry and bright here, it's supposed to dip below freezing overnight but feels quite spring like just now.
Tesco have been and groceries stashed, no OOS or subs but as to be expected a very limited choice of veg. DS had Hector at the groomer's yesterday evening, there's a Lidl nearby and he must of timed it well as they had just restocked and he was able to pick up some celery and veg for last night's curry.
LO curry for lunch, usual Friday tbc for dinner though I bought some boil in the bag kippers so might have those with mash and spinach.
  • It’s felt quite chilly here today, been grey and rainy on and off.

Just a day, work wise. Glad to have made it to the end of the week, quiet weekend planned.

Filled pasta, sun dried tomatoes, tuna and mange tout for lunch. Made a chickpea, spinach and halloumi stew tonight with toasted pitta.

The temperature as definitely dropped again, not sure why but I was cold when I went to bed last night and put a blanket on although I did wake up at 1am too hot 🙄

My sister and I have been to see Calendar Girls the musical tonight at the local theatre just a local production but some really good singers and it has been full houses for them all week which will also benefit the local hospice who they are fund raising for.

Lunch was a bacon sandwich, using up a pack of bacon.  I picked up a Charlie Bingham meal last night YS for £1 instead of £6.50 pasta and meatballs which I added veg to.  I don't usually do ready meals and definitely wouldn't spend that much on one but it was ok but it has been repeating all evening! It was meant to go in the oven so I put it in AF which worked just as well as i wasn't turning the oven on for 30 mins just a for one small dish  and no time to fill it up.

  • I woke up very chilly this morning so I put the heating on for a couple of hours. I just had toast and a black coffee. I didn't eat those mushrooms yesterday so I might make a curry later with them.

Cold morning here as well, could be sunny but not right now

Yesterday's chilli was hotter than I expected :o , it was a packet mix so beyond my control, I'll know not to use that again [Asda own]. I have a good portion left over when I feel brave enough

The YS chicken was fine, sampled a slice before put in fridge overnight

Meals today, lunch maybe a cheese toastie?
Dinner, some cold roast chicken, with HM AF chips & salad, not ideal salad weather, but I have subbed loose lettuce that needs using before it goes limp & 'orrible, plus the LO chilli needs ignoring for today for my mouth to stop tingling

    Good morning everyone,
You could add a tin of baked beans to reduce the heat Farway and freeze the extra portions.
    Frosty start today.
Doggy mayhem here as my sister's pooch has just arrived for an overnight stay. Thankfully it's dry so they can tire themselves out (I hope) in the garden. I'll not be attempting any housework today apart from the routine stuff.
Lunch is tbc and tonight it's sticky chicken wings, coleslaw, HM wedges and corn.
  • Cold and a bit rainy again here today. Thought spring was on its way last week but not yet it seems. Just a pottering day, have been to the farm shop for a few bits and Lidl for a bit of a stock up.

Tuna and sweetcorn sandwich for lunch. Sausage, mash, LO gravy from the freezer, carrots and cabbage tonight (couldn’t get broccoli).
