  • I had a vegan burrito with guac and salad last night and far too much wine!

  • Nice steady wfh day here. Weather very grey and not as warm as it has been so no line drying today.

Reheated LO chicken and mushroom pasta with some mange tout stirred through for lunch. Usual early pre-swimming tea of beans with toast. There are raisin and oat cookies hanging around if I need anything with my cuppa later 😉

Good timing on the rice cooker Brambling, worked well I assume?

Message from Asda for tomorrow delivery, they've run out of some items, eggs no surprise, now it's also fresh tomatoes, heard that on radio this morning, bad weather in Southern Spain & Morocco apparently and because supermarkets would not pay enough to cover cost of UK production with energy no UK producer planted any salad items for this year :(

I did forget to add salt but it worked well Farway and after all their bad press Evri delivered quickly and hassle free

Waitrose had no tomatoes last week but I was able to pick them up in the farm shop, it seems other F&V will be affected as well, I best sort my seeds out

Grey day here as well and more of a nip in the air again, but can't complain for February

cheese and crackers for lunch with tomatoes 🙂 I had LO rice from yesterday so egg fried rice with vegetables and salmon for dinner

    Good morning everyone,
Dry and sunny here today, it's to be frosty tonight.
Managed to get a fair bit done yesterday ready for my visitor. Not that she's the type to worry about a bit of dust etc. but I swear Hector brings back half the beach from each walk! Just doing a simple soup and sandwich lunch - HM chicken & rice soup and tuna met wraps. Shepherd's pie, swede, peas, cabbage and gravy. I've cheated and used frozen mash for the topping.  ;)

Rain first thing, but turned grey & cool now

My Asda order arrived thirty minute early, but I was up and about so not a problem
Tomatoes arrived without hitch, but minus rib eye steak & pork chops on offer, and some potted live herbs unavailable

Because of uncertainty with food delivery, I had taken a roasted chicken portion out to defrost for tonight, and now the salad stuff is OK dinner is decided

I had an overnight loaf in the Panny, so fresh bread for lunchtime salady sarnie + salad cream to squirt out while eating it
Dinner, the cold roast chicken portion, nuked "baked" spud & salad

Cream crackers & cheese later if fancied

  • Damp, grey and feeling cool here most of today, although did feel milder when I was out this evening.

Busy day of work meetings but did get time for a proper lunch break to eat my Thai butternut squash soup and toasted pitta. Left a bit late and then the traffic was bad so a quick turnaround before out to a voluntary meeting. Threw together a chicken and veg Thai red curry with noodles.

    Is it really only Wednesday???

    It's been a long week JKS 😐

grey damp and colder here as well at least it is March next week, just need to know who stole February?

I needed to use up a PB baguette so had a bacon Baguette for lunch, the SM bacon isn't as good as the farm shop even if it's taste the difference.  Dinner was smoke haddock, mash potato and French beans and wilted spinach

Sunshine this morning, a pleasant sort of day, but for some reason I didn't wake until nearly eight, so a bit of time muddled now and just had a crumpet for breakfast, not waning to impinge upon lunch

The only thing that must be done is get the garden wheelie bin in position for collection tomorrow. All other jobs are optional today

Lunch, ummming & ahhing, I think it will be HM beefburger, but in a sarnie 'cos no buns / rolls. Should be fine, at least homemade I can make it to fit the bread
Dinner, with the mince now opened, another HM beef burger, HM AF chips, fried eggs [living the wild life at nearly six shillings each :o ], and sautéed mushrooms

Probably use rest of the mince in a chilli tomorrow

    Good morning everyone,
Had a good catch up with my visitor yesterday. Unfortunately Hector decided she was "scary" and wouldn't come near her, strange little dog that he is!
Frosty first thing and lovely and sunny now.
It's admin, admin and more admin for me today.
HM soup for lunch and Thai green chicken & veg curry for dinner.
  • Nearly there, Brambling 😉

Another long, often tedious day - work all seems too difficult at the moment, why can’t people just do their jobs - then I wonder if it’s just me being grumpy 😂

Yet more nana’s magic soup for lunch. Reheated LO creamy leeks and beans from the freezer with George Foremaned salmon and green beans, baby corn and mange tout tonight.
