I was convinced it was Tuesday 🙄 it was just as well my colleague had offered to do our weekly meeting with our developers or there would have been no prep done 🙂
I saw the physio today who tells me the issue with my hip is my back, so I've a exercise sheet to do daily to see how it goes
lunch was hummus and grated carrot, spinach wrap. Dinner goat curry and rice sis nice and easy food dayLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Good morning everyone,
Ouch Brambling, I have the opposite issue. Hope the exercises help.
Dull and damp here this morning, none too warm either.
The creamy paprika chicken was divine, definitely a keeper.
Domestics today then my sister and nephew are coming for dinner. DS2 is cooking a lamb and potato curry. Last of the current batch of HM soup for lunch.

Dry & mild morning so into Home B & Mark’s. Just compost from HB, but Mark’s was YS heaven again. Four YS MFO now in the freezer, trying to restock a bit now space has become available, I still have to add the part used W8rose F Fingers & cod fillet which is BBE today so needs doing
Lunch was tinned sardines on toast, just for a change really
I came home with a two pack of YS pork chops from Marks, and now the weather has turned to drizzle it seems ideal day for yet another dinner of full on roast, well actually I’ll grill the chop & steam the broccoli, cabbage & cauli, but spuds & carrots will be roasted
PS, my Parsley Box arrived, ten MFOs nicely packed, goodness knows how they keep so long at ambient temperature, the use by is December for many of them. Looks far for a couple of quid a meal but not a t RRP of course, maybe it's like Currys with never ending forever offers & sales?
As you say Caron, not large portions and seems to be just main part of meal, so would need veg cooking / heating separately if required, however knowing what my late mum ate one would be more than adequate for her, with LOs & I guess others in similar situation

Finally stopped raining for a bit. Another office day, started and ended well but was manic for a bit in the middle 🙃
Second half of the tuna couscous for lunch. Made one of my favourites tonight - chorizo and sweet potato hash, which is a traybake served with a soft boiled egg. Might have had a 🍸while it baked, just to get over the manicness you understand…0 -
I've bookmarked the chicken recipe Caronc although I rarely have cream in the house
I'm still a day behind so it was nice when I realised tomorrow is Friday, I could get use to a four day weekI did tell my manager that I planned to retire or at least go part time at 60 when I get my pension from my last job, I was giving him a lot of notice
not that I'm wishing my life away
lunch was another hummus and carrot wrap. Dinner was crispy smoked tofu with a peanut sauce and noodles. I usually make a coconut and peanut sauce but no coconuts oI found a new recipe, it wasn't as good 🤔Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Up and about at a very early time, I couldn’t sleep and in the end I was sorting my family tree in my head so got up to sort it out. Done now but as usual I’ve even more holes to go down now
Very dull and dismal outside, not that I’m going anywhere, today’s only real task is phone the car insurance people to give them a chance to bring the renewal bill down to their competitors. It’s over £80 higher than my lowest quote, a few quid would be OK but it’s just a joke at the moment
I think it’s linked with this new law about new customers can’t have discounts and must get same price as long standing customers, of course what happened was everyone’s bills went up, who would’ve guessed?
Meals today, lunch I think will be fried egg sarnie, quick & easy
Dinner, despite the weather I’ll portion up the on offer salmon fillet, freeze three portions & fry one for dinner, with salad & boiled baby spuds

Good morning everyone,
Brambling I reckon low fat creme fraiche would work well, I used cream as I had a tub needing used up after Tesco subbed a small carton with a large one.
Bright and sunny here, definitely need to tackle the windows today after it rained when I was going to do them earlier in the week. Lovely to see the sun though especially given how horrific the news is just now!
Fuel d/d has been adjusted (upwards) again to reflect April's hike. My fix ended in November and my bills will have almost tripled come April. Thankfully I can absorb it but my heart goes out to those who are in that fortunate position.
Tesco have been and groceries stashed, more tea required before I look out the squeegee!
Scotch egg and salad for lunch and dinner will be the usual Friday freezer rake.

Made it to the weekend!
Another damp, grey day but wfh so no need to leave the house.
Quiche, baked beans and bread and butter for lunch. Made a yummy mushroom pappardelle tonight - sauce was made of tomato purée and balsamic vinegar 😋0 -
Ouch Caronc luckily I was a lot in credit at the start of the winter and for once they didn't return it to me which they have previously and then ask for it back at the end of the winter 🙄 I have had the email to say it will go up but haven't been advised by how much yet. Unfortunately I don't think the petrol saving from WFH will counter the increased electric and gas bills, although the way that is going up could change 🙄
A few issues at work today and I did bite my tongue from telling my French colleague that it wasn't my circus or my monkeys 🤨 I'm not sure if I was popular for telling her to speak to the support desk and not me but I'm really trying to step back from a work I started to hand over last May 🙄 they did learn the hard way the reason I tell them to save the very large spreadsheets onto the server and not on their laptops when one of their laptops died and they lost a lot of worked
I realised I had picked up a expensive name brand cereal in error when in Sainsbobs I sometimes buy a SM brand of apricot filled Wheaties which I tend to snack on with no milk, not only was I annoyed at the extra money but they weren't so nice as the SM brands 😡
lunch was LO tofu in a wrap, not the same reheated but I wasn't wasting it. I had a small turkey drumstick which was too small to make a decent amount of soup (I've a larger on in the freezer) so I pressure cooked it with a Chinese inspired sauce and had with rice, green beans and tenderstem broccoli. Somehow between dishing up and washing up I lost a piece from the pressure cooker 'plate' that fits in the lid, I'm hoping I find it when I wash the floor at the weekend as I can't see it now and the cheapest replacement plate I could see online was £10 plus postage

Good morning everyone,
Hope you find the missing bit Brambling.
A chilly -4C start to the day but it's lovely and sunny so I'm not complaining.
I'm pooch sitting and he's happily sunbathing on the deck.
Home alone today as DS2 has headed to Glasgow to meet DS1 for a "posh" lunch and some drinks.
Toastie for lunch I think and something involving chicken thighs for dinner.0
