    Good morning everyone,
I hope the Dr can offer some pain relief Farway.
Much milder here this morning, it must have warmed up overnight as it was frosty when I went to bed.
I had intended to wash my hair then strip my bed this morning but was out of the shower before I remembered! I'm not going anywhere so another day won't matter.
Some housework to do this morning and then it's back to the voluntary admin.
Bagel for lunch probably with brie & cranberry. Tonight it's dal from the freezer with spinach, fried egg and pitta.
  • In contrast, much colder here again, I did indeed have to scrape my windscreen.

Very much soup weather and I very much enjoyed my mug of spiced carrot and lentil with a toasted pitta at lunchtime. Salmon and broccoli pesto pasta tonight, it’s been a long day and I can make this with my eyes closed 😉

I hope you managed to speak to a doctor Farway 🙂

Frost here again this morning, his lordship spent too much time glaring out of the front door at it whilst I got cold 🙄

I had a bad night last night and was awake until nearly 4am with asthma, it's been a long time since I've had a attack and my brain was very foggy today 😴 I did warn the team not to expect too much

lunch was a mug of turkey soup (I agree JKS it's soup weather 😁) with a small salmon sandwich.  I wasn't hungry tonight so no dinner but  was a couple of slices of toast with marmalade at 8.30pm

    Good morning everyone,
Hope you had an easier night Brambling.
Back to grey and damp here this morning though it's supposed to clear later and turn frosty tonight.
I've not much planned for today my balance is iffy so a quiet one is on the cards.
Last of the bagels & brie for lunch. I've a chicken breast and a small tub of boiled rice defrosting. Not 100% sure what the final dish will be probably fried rice of some description.

Managed to see the Doctor about my left foot yesterday evening after he phoned late afternoon. Prescribed ant biotic which I started taking last night, I’ve only had two so far so too soon to say if working or not, he reckons should show within a couple of days if working and to return if not.

Soon tell if working, apart from the pain my left foot is double the size of it's partner, once the Doc took my sock of there was no doubt I wasn't making it up

Upshot of Dr visit was yet another frozen pizza for dinner, good job I have them though, no point of having a stacked up freezer if not using it when required

Lunch today I joined the soup theme with tin of Asda cream of tomato soup, with toast that got stuck & burned in the toaster, who would’ve thought such a simple meal could go wrong?

Dinner, just unsure again, it’ll be another freezer dive; I did spot some Greggs Beef bakes in there, maybe with chips & beans?

That sounds nasty Farway, I hope the antibiotics help quickly.
  • Cold again here but grey so no walking or pegging out.

Home day today so fishfinger sandwich for lunch. Jacket spud with veg chilli and a dollop of creme fraiche tonight 😋

I hope the ABs kick in soon Farway

I'm still rattling a bit, it tends to wait until I lay down to kick in. A better night than Monday but not great  :| luckily work was quieter than it has been for a while and my colleague offered to run my meeting this morning 🙂

lunch was more of the turkey soup with a toasted ciabatta roll. Dinner was the last of the roast beef, not impressed with this joint and this bit was very sinewy so finished it with stir fry veg and noodles with a quick made up sauce

Losing track of the days now, just realised it’s Thursday, I had it down as Friday in my head

Better news on my foot since anti biotic, the swelling has decreased, still hurts but not as bad and at least I can walk much more easily now. An improvement, hoping to venture out for milk tomorrow now swelling is down & I have fair chance of getting a shoe on.

Bright, sunny and cold looking out this morning

Last night I finished up with frozen Gregg’s corned beef bake, I cooked it in the AF which worked fine. It was my first try at one of these, not too impressed, bit of an “odd” flavour in there so I’ll not be buying any more of those

Today’s lunch is the last of the Gregg’s corned beef bakes, in true CFO style, I bought them I eat them

Dinner, plan is use up LO baby boiled spuds by slicing & frying in omelette. Perhaps a cheese topping and I may have a side salad with that if I feel like it

One side effect of whatever I have is lack of appetite, hence the “if I feel like it”, combined with the doubling up of my pills has me feeling a tad nauseous which doesn’t help. Fortunately as I’ve mentioned before I do have a few surplus ounces that I can afford to lose before anyone need worry about me wasting away

Brambling, was the beef joint one from Marks you mentioned ealier? Just so I know if I get in there

Farway no the one I haven't been happy with (shrinking and sinewy) was Asda.  I often buy the small M&S beef joints approx 500g and never had a problem with them
