Rain here again today. It feels nice after the heat. I'm having some sparkling water and a bowl of cherries. Yum!4

Good afternoon everyone,
No rain here, it is another scorcher!
Bbq yesterday evening was great fun, less fun will be scrubbing out the bbq later..... There wasn't much by way of LOs and what there was my nephew and his gf have taken to have as a part of a picnic this evening.
My son has not long headed off and I'm have a much needed siesta as it was a late night but I woke at my usual time this morning. Lunch was pork pie and salad and tonight it will be something easy like breaded haddock.4 -
Good evening everyone,
My it's still warm, though there's a wee bit of breeze building up. It's supposed to be cooler tomorrow before it rains on Monday.
Manky bbq has been thoroughly scrubbed, not a pleasant job but needs must. I've done some laundry and had a general tidy. I could really do with giving the place a good hoover and mop but it's been too warm indoors to contemplate it. A job for Monday I think. I picked a bowl of broad beans, they've not been very prolific this years but going by the number of baby beans the french and runner beans are going to give a decent crop shortly. Three tomatoes are almost ripea yellow cherry in one of the deck baskets and two medium sized red ones in the greenhouse. Not enough to start thinking about passata and sauce but hopefully that will change soon.
AF breaded haddock and roasted LO baby spuds with broad beans, peas and (bought) green beans for dinner. I'm swithering between salmon or venison to have with a stir fry tomorrow. I bought one of the deals where you get a pack of noodles, one of stir fry veg and a sachet of sauce. Not the cheapest of options but CFO friendly and easy to put together, it will do me twice so will have again on Monday with which ever protein option I don't have tomorrow.2 -
I took a run out to Tesco... well, I didn't run, I walked. It's probably a mile. I had it in my head I needed to buy something sweet and came up with a plan that said "get a cheesecake; eat it all". So, off I went with a list of two items to buy: Crumpets and cheesecake. Came home with a lot more though
Bought: Crumpets, cheesecake. Two frozen ready meals, 10 fish fingers. 6 packs of doritos. 2 bags of sweeties. 8 sausage rolls. Grand total £6.58.
Once home I squeezed the frozen into the freezer, except one ready meal, which I nuked and scoffed. The frozen cheesecake I put into the fridge to defrost and a bit later I cut it into four and had a slice. I've almost demolished one entire pack of the sweeties I bought (midget gems) ... and started on the pastilles.
I did try to look at spuds, but there was a "typical fresh produce couple" getting in my way.... there were 3-4, but this couple in particular. People have an annoying habit of going back/forth round the veg and fruit bits.... she'd chosen spuds and left the area, he said "not those ones" and returned, dragging her and the trolley back, so he could have a go at choosing some, so I gave up my quest to look/compare and walked off. I've still one of the 4-pack of baking spuds left, but I've found them too small for me really... so I wanted to explore my options a little more.
Today I had two crumpets/marg for breakfast and spud/beans/cheese for lunch.2 -
I was up in the dark this morning, just couldn't get back to sleep so up and drinking tea at 5Then I made my crumble [I'd stewed the B & A yesterday], bunged flour etc in Panny, loaf due out any time nowWatched 3 episodes of "Succession" in between timesThen breakfastI'm worn out already, dull & windy so nothing needed in the garden today.I've one only sunflower out which looks lovingly into next door's garden, self sown or I'd be looking at it's face not themLunch will be cheese & tom sarnie using the fresh new loafDinner, sort of fry up. Best bangers [oven cooked], HM AF chips, fried eggs & blob of baked beansPN, shame about ex neighbour, nice to know of famous folk who are down to earth & straight forward. I suspect it's more common then tabloids would have us believeI'd never heard of him either but the internet is full of "Stars" I've never heard of

Good morning everyone,
Glamourous circles PN, there was an obituary piece on the local FB page about him yesterday. My town hosts an annual heavy metal festival each November and he had played at it last year .
Overcast here today and a good few degrees cooler, there were a few spots of rain earlier but it didn't come to anything. I'm hoping to get a good bit done in the garden this afternoon.
Ham salad for lunch and there's salmon defrosting to have with stir fry veg and Singapore style noodles for dinner.3 -

It poured down here earlier and they was thunder. My cul de sac got flooded with huge puddles/lakes of water but the water has gone now. That has happened a few times since I've moved here.
I've had cereal that I couldn't finish, some fresh fruit, some crisps and then a roll for lunch.
I might make jacket potatoes or wedges for dinner with a Quorn thing and some veg or salad.2025 GOALS

The sun came out for a bit this afternoon but not as baking hot as it's been recently, I got a fair bit done outdoors including putting weed killer down on the slabs which is not a small job. Picked 5 tomatoes and there is actually a few courgettes which look as though they have taken
I've got my kindle back up and running as I've run out of "proper" books, my local library is only sort of open and you can't go in and browse so I think I'll stick with e-books for just now.
