Hope you enjoyed the artichokes Caronc I had to smile as it made me think of Windy Miller 😁
I'm another one who doesn't do crisp butties, although I'm happy to have a pack of crisps with a sandwich.
i meant to spend the afternoon in the garden but one of my sisters called and then a friend, I'm not complaining as it's good to catch up but it was two hours from my gardening duties and then I had a cuppa .... I did manage to plant courgettes, squash, patty pan and runner beans (hopefully my wigwam building skills will hold out) I just need to sort my tomatoes and French beans tomorrow and some digging in the front. If they all take I may have to find room for that second freezer. As I've been working in the dining room I have been wondering if I would find one in there too noisy, I have seen some advertised as quiet models but freezers do seem to be in demand at the moment.
i think I've caught Farway CBA today, I had plans which included bubble and squeak which never happened. Lunch was a gammon and cheese flat bread with tomatoes and dinner was a turkey flatbread. Both the gammon and turkey were very nice, I'm almost wishing at the price it was I picked up another YS turkey. The gammon was full price but I find it's good value they're around £5 for 750g and this one roasted in the oven for 45 mins 🙂

Candygirl, is there an air fryer thread? And may I sneak on here now & then now I'm back in the leafy Cheshire suburbs CFO again? I need to rein in the excesses of waste & weekday-wine of the last 8 weeks while WFH and this looks to be an ideal place to start.

Sunny day again meant change of meal plan after breakfast I assembled a large pot of coleslaw as it's salad weather for a few days at leastThe MFO liver & mash is now in the freezer, along with the two LO uncooked pork & apple bangers.Which reminds me, I need to wash the air fryer now, meat fat, unlike veg oil, seems to "stick / burn on" even though it's non stick. A bit of soaking should shift it at this early stageDue to meal changes lunch today is posh cheddar with tomato sarnie.PasturesNew said:Farway said:I've got some cheap Ice£and fish cakes lurking so I may just try them, I know PN wasn't too keen but I've got them so have to at least try them
) that I forget the details sometimes.
Better value & nutrition than my crisp sandwich no doubt.CG Now salt N vinegar crisps with salad cream sarnie is a new one on me, but I will try it as I've a pack urging me on now and had I not taken the cheese out already that would be lunchDinner, I'll bake one of the decent sized Morrie baking potatoes, I'm pondering opening a tin of tuna to make mayo / tuna filling but that's a maybeDef baked spud, salad & HM coleslaw for dinner, just need to decide on spud fillingEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens2 -

Good afternoon everyone,
Welcome to CFO Floss 👋
Warm and dry here today but very overcast as though it would like to rain but can't quite manage it! I'll what it's doing in a bit and might start the fence painting, I'll do the bits I can reach while seated and my son will do the higher bits. If it still looks as though it might rain I'll make a start on the veg patch tubs instead.
I wish I'd read the thread before my lunch as I now have a hankering for a crisp butty. That said the ham, cheese and tomato roll I did have was perfectly enjoyable. Tonight we're having griddled pork steaks with Ayrshire spuds, garlic mushrooms, green beans and the remaining Jerusalem artichokes. I cooked extra yesterday and the spare will get popped in the air fryer to reheat and crisp up. I'm hoping having them twice in a row isn't too digestively challenging 😉.4 -
Lunch was 2 just OOD croissants with bacon & sliced tomatoes. Supper will be h/m arancini from last night's mushroom risotto, with a tub of risotto for lunch in the office tomorrow (just doing 1 day a week, rest is WFH).2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Hello to Floss.
Am I the only person who has lost weight during lockdown? I think it must be from not going into shops and buying random junk from there. I did come off medication which made me gain weight but even with that I have lost almost a stone in weight in the past two (?) months. Not that I'm complaining as I have struggled with my weight for years.
Today I have had crumpets, crisps, strawberries and a banana.
I need to have some veggies in my dinner. lol.3 -
Hello Floss. It's decided, tuna & mayo will go in the baked spud, easy enough in this heatScorching outside now.I've just netted the cherry tree because they are just turning colour now and the recent rain should've swollen them to max juiciness [fingers crossed]If this heat continues shouldn't be too long to ripen, I have to get in the queue though, overnight snails first, then early birds, then meEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens3

I am definitely now about where I was 2 years ago - and less than I was at the end of last year.

I've been out, doing a food round robin this morning. Not entirely the food I went out for though. I had two destinations in mind: 1/ Out of Date place, 2/ A chippy, I was going to "treat" (is 3x a week a treat any more?) myself to chips and curry sauce. 3/ Maybe a Mr T, maybe an 4ldi for a loaf/paste.
1/ OOD: I just got a 12-box of naked noodles there, they've very few left. £2 for 12 - RRP is £1.20 each, Mr T currently is selling them at 60p each. My price is <17p each.
I was looking for another box of the pastilles, but failed to spot them (all gone I think) - and I wanted to look at their 1 kilo bags of Aero, which turned out to not be bars or seconds but baking dots of Aero chocolate to go in cake. So I came out of there just with my 12-box of noodles.
2/ Chippy was shut, so that was the end of that. Wasn't sure, with it being a Bank Holiday Monday - as his hours have been changed because of the way things are these days I thought he might be open in any case just to keep ticking over/covering the bills. But no.
3/ Into Mr T... and got more than I expected. Cucumber, punnet of small plum tomatoes, 3 bananas, loaf of bread, pack of flatbreads, jar of rice pudding, jar of jam (I can recommend theirs as being the most substantial 28p/jar offering I've found so far), six jars of paste (because they had loads and loads and I was there so it seemed daft not to. I also spotted something in the reduced section, a 9-pack of "cheese & bean rolls", like snack sized sausage rolls, £1.11 but I needed lunch so grabbed that. Total spend, for what's nigh on a week's shopping, £6.12.
