I've had toasted crumpets and then a smoothie made with strawberries and bananas. The fresh fruit from Ocado was quite bad quality this week so I only used what non-bruised bits I could salvage.2025 GOALS

Good afternoon everyone,
Sounds like a very productive day off Brambling 😊.
I certainly haven't lost any weight during lock down but going by my clothes haven't gained any either thankfully!
Annoyingly my balance has been very off since yesterday afternoon so no gardening got done. I thought an early night might sort it but nope so it's another easy day for me. Typical when the weather has picked up and I loads I want do outdoors. That said it's just as well I didn't start painting the fence after my afternoon nap as it started pouring early evening and was still raining when I went to bed.
Tesco has been and no subs or unavailable items this week 😊.
Lunch was a scotch egg with veg sticks and crackers and tonight it's squid and veg fried rice for dinner.2 -
Sounds like your body is telling you to take it easy Caronc, hopefully you'll be able to keep the donkey locked up
Another hot day and i've had to shut the back door and windows this afternoon as my neighbour is working in the garden with a very noisy rotavator and I'm trying to listen to a skype call. If I disappear I've been caught putting petrol in it's tank or burying him with it (they are nice people just every tool he uses is so noisy). She said to me yesterday and she had read some where that if you can't hear your neighbours you are the noisy neighbour! I didn't disagree with her ....
I had LO turkey with cauliflower cheese and french beans for lunch today it was a little warm for it but you know what it's like with LOs . That's the last of the turkey except for a bite for his lordship who usually turns his nose up at human food but did have a little bit yesterday and seem to enjoy. Not sure about dinner i was going to make bubble and squeak to go with the LO gammon but that feels too hot so I may have the gammon with the cornish new potatoes I brought on Saturday and some salad there are more leaves to pick in the garden as well as thinning out the turnips and beetroot so i can add those leaves to the salad, if I cba i may griddle some asparagus but probably not

Another scorching day ahead it seems, so another change of meal planI had planned on using the iffy small cauli from my Morries C & C last week in a C Cheeses, but like Brambling thought, too blooming hot for that so I've got a salmon fillet defrostingLunch, today is the S & V crisps + salad cream sarnie trial
I feel I may need a bib
Dinner, stuck on salad still, with LO HM coleslaw + HM chips + fried in butter / oil salmon filletAlong with the iffy cauli from Morries the spuds are also iffy, they look fine until peeling, than the black parts appear.I had to bin a couple yesterday and maybe the same today. To be fair to Morries I can't think there would be a way to know their insides were manky, outside they look just fineSpot of gardening today, plant out some sunflowers & maybe plant out the last of the peas.My first pea sowing are covered in flowers so the first pods are due in JuneEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens5 -
Good afternoon everyone,
The weather is gorgeous here today and after a slow start I'm a tad steadier on my feet 😊 so I'm determined to get at least something done outdoors if I possibly can . Our squid and veg fried rice was missing a key element last night, the squid!! We forgot to defrost it so just went with veg fried rice and it was just fine without it! Tonight it's an easy dinner of pasty, beans, corn and spuds. My son is having to work late this evening so an easy put together when he finishes. Lunch was a scotch egg, crackers, salad and an apple.5
