Today was chip day
Had them.
I only needed one item - a loaf of bread. I've decided Mr T's 55p loaves are the nicest, so went there, but there was a queue of at least 20 people, so I left the car park without stopping. Went to my local 4ldi - and discovered something I didn't expect... I am the only person in the world eating paste sandwichesFirst I grabbed a loaf of their bread, bit pee'd off the date's just 25th, Mr T's is often a week away. Then I went for paste. Didn't need paste as I have 3 jars, but thought I might as well get 1-2 anyway.... thing is it's one of those mixed product trays, so one tray of product contains all three flavours - and salmon is the least quantity, with 1-2/tray typically... I had to move/check the first two trays and reached for the third to discover the salmon's gone - and I strongly suspect I had that one last week, so I am now convinced I am the only person buying paste in my 4ldi.
Scoffed today: 4 squares of chocolate, 1 medium portion of chips, 1 pack of doritos.... and opened a new bag of fruit pastilles.3 -
Evening all
Has anyone else been logged out the site, I've been every time I've tried to get in today 🤔
Although I'm enjoying the sun shine my garden would like some rain, my salad leaves looked a little wilted when I went out to pick some lunchtime even though they had a good water last night. Farway are you due any soon if so please send it our way once you have finished with it, a nice gentle but persistence all night rain will do 🙂💦
Lunch was egg and crab stick salad with new potatoes and dinner mussels with LO potatoes chipped and a PB crusty roll to dip in the juices. There's another pouch of mussels which I'll have somewhen over the weekend I was tempted to cook the second after finishing the first 😋Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin2 -
PN Sounds as though the agents are doing what we refer round here as 'chancing their arm' aka pulling a fast one. A case of 'buyer beware' which until fairly recently was the underpin of most of the laws re house sales in Scotland!
The air fried Korean style chicken was gorgeous a wee photo of my son's plate before we got stuck in4 -

Weather say sausages, taste says cheese N pickle, but it's cheese tonight as well. This is where I need something just plonked in front of meDinner is easier, has to be salad as it use up LO HM coleslaw.I'm going to use one of the biggish baking spuds, with some of my posh cheese as filling, all very simple and not much effort requiredEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens3

That is all I've had as I'm not that hungry at the moment.

Good afternoon everyone,
It's wild here today, the wind is really blowing a hooley. My son and his fiancee came by earlier to drop of the compost and fence paint. We tried to have a natter in the garden but it was too windy for anything other than a brief chat. They had been to the farm shop for F&V and picked up globe and Jerusalem Artichokes, Ayrshire spuds and Fife strawberries for me. I'm a very happy camper 😁😁. They were heading to the fishmongers to pick up langoustines for their dinner, a treat but no more expensive than a takeaway. They can't get over how much cheaper fish is up here compared to Cardiff so are making the most of it.
Lunch was a random collection of cold LO Jersey royals, beetroot crackers and chicken soup. Dinner is tbc, I think my son may well get a chippy so I'll just be cooking for myself for a change. 😁2 -
Good evening everyone,
Is just me or do others find themselves being "signed out" between visits today (yes I do have the "keep me signed in " checkbox ticked)? I got in no problem after logging in just now but kept getting flung out earlier! Typical when I'm actually CFO tonight as my son is holed up in the dining room with a chippy tea and a spiced rum online with his mates.
It's still really windy here, proper blowing things over gusts, but at least it seems to have dried up, it's far from warm though and I've just lit the stove!
Freezer rake dinner for me tonight of lamb, barley & veg stew with peas and mash. By the calendar it should be past the time for this sort of comfort food but by the weather it's just the ticket!

I'm also having to log in every time today.
the weather has cooled down a bit here and it's a bit windy to, after spending time in the back garden this evening I looked like I had been given a electric shock, I came in from talking with a neighbour and looked in the mirror and my hair looking like I had been pulled through a hedge backwards (I need the old purple emoji with the hair standing on end) 😳
i dashed into town lunchtime to avoid going in tomorrow, there were no queues in M&S so I was able to do a quick shop and get back and grab lunch in the hour I didn't need much
After work I tackled the full compost bin and emptied it where I want to plant my courgettes and squash plants as well as digging in some manure, the ground had large dogwood plants removed at Christmas so the soil didn't look great, I also cleared and dug where I want to plant my beans probably not the wisest idea with a dodgy back so planting will have to wait until tomorrow if I can bend 😐
lunch was a crab stick and egg baguette and dinner was a quick pan fried salmon with salad when I got in from gardeningLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin2
