Bother just lost my post!!
Attempt 2....
Good afternoon everyone,
Hope you are not too sore today Brambling.
Glad ratty seems to have taken the hint Farway.
Showery but quite mild here, one of those days when you know if you go outdoors it will start raining!
Tesco delivery has been, just one small sub this week. Although the cost was much the same as usual there seemed to be an awful lot of items which took ages to sanitise and put away! I feel as though today is kind of running away from me. DIL-to-be has got me some compost, she was in Lidl and spotted they had some and she knew I was struggling to get any. They will pop it in my garden later 😁.
Lunch was HM soup from the freezer with toast and pate. If I cba making them it's HM burgers tonight, if not it will be veggie pasta and we can have burgers tomorrow.

Sorry you're feeling blah today Candy hopefully a good night sleep will help
Good news about the compost Caronc, garden centres are now open in England with queues, I managed to get some before they open when they did click and collect and our farm shop occasionally had some.
Hope ratty stays away Farway 🥺 I knew someone who said the first she knew she had one was when it ate a bar of soap under the sink 🙂
my back has been a little sore today not helped by working all day from my dining room table, if I had known how long it was going to be I would have brought home my office chair 😐 I had to give up at 6pm as I was stiffened up and went for a walk to get moving. I did have some satisfaction in looking out of the window at the rhododendron remains now sitting on the patio 😁
Lunch was some HM turkey soup from the freezer with the last of the bread toasted. I wasn't that hungry so dinner was some falafels from the freezer with salad before a zoom call with friends

Do pop over to t’other side when you have a mo.
Back on topic........have you tried toasted sandwich bags? The ones made from silicon, that you pop a ‘raw’ sandwich into, and then put in a toaster.
I’ve used the ones from Lakeland for a few years, and they are great. (Have tried cheaper ones, but they aren’t as good, or as big.)
Plus the bags are re-usable, for countless times. You just wash them well. I put mine into the dishwasher.
”Toasta-bags”.
I've had toaster bags for 3-4 years... but my toaster was too small to use them,so the pack is unopened (and somewhere in storage). I've no toaster now, nor can I have one here.1 -
Nelski, a sharp tap of the jar lid on a kitchen worktop works for me. I do have one of those jar openers too, but the sharp tap seems to work really well. I use nutcrackers to open screw bottle tops, similar to https://www.amazon.co.uk/BESTONZON-Crackers-Cracker-Suitable-Hazelnuts/dp/B07FCQLRSJ?ref_=s9_apbd_otopr_hd_bw_b3TgyMB&pf_rd_r=VV7WBDJEBY9JD2VB2VA4&pf_rd_p=5a90fb0e-4db4-5506-8ce4-ffa4dc3b9434&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-10&pf_rd_t=BROWSE&pf_rd_i=31871540314

Sleepless night, just too hot for sleep so I'm knackered before the day's even startedBusy day ahead for me, my first Click & Collect ever. It's from Morries, one thing I did find while online ordering,to compensate for no bog standard Icebergs {bagged chopped only] I can buy the 50p doughnuts pack of 5. So I haveThey're strawberry jam ones,so them, plus banana in breakfast is 2/5 there alreadyAll being well and assuming I'm not stuck in Morrie's car park lunch will be last BLTDinner, should really be a Gammon salad as it's due to be a scorcher but at the moment thinking it could be just a cheese & tom sanieEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens3

I had a Tesco order quite early this morning. I managed to order three lots of twin packs of avocado by mistake! Oh well, I will eat them all.
I was lazy and so I had a Wall's vegan jumbo sausage roll for breakfast.

Morries C & C collected, looking at the queue to get in I think my choice was goodMy first C & C, pretty painless, hang around in car park bit for about 30 minutes, shopping trundled out and left for me to put in bootSome missing items, including compost & the locking lid anti rat box I wanted. Ama2on next stop for that, compost I can live withoutSub for my jam doughnuts, custard instead, sampled one, it'll do nicely. My Pukka veggie pie is now chicken & mush.
And the bangers are now "with apple"
Just as well I'm not real veggie. I never looked for the no subs box, I will next timeDue to rushing about I just had last of the LO banana cake and one custard doughnut for lunchDinner, not sure, I may go for bacon, pork & apple bangers, HM AF chips & fried eggs. Sounds like a meal planCustard doughnut for pudThe sun is burning hot outside, not a good day for gardeningEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens3
