Just made up two flatbreads with a pot of salmon paste and tomatoes. One's wrapped in foil, for a bit later on; I've just scoffed the other one as breakfast.
Well, I got up ... did my washing ... that's it for the day. Back in bed now, until tomorrow, when I'll get up, shower, then get back in bed.2 -
Another sunny day ahead, but apart from a bit of pottering around nothing is plannedOut in garden last night, looking at the starlink satellites going over, nice clear night as it happened so good viewLast night's dinner was OK but I binned some of it, just not appealing halfway through. The rosemary spuds were BBE 2018 and I think they suffered from the long freezer time, they never really crisped up. I consoled myself with a mint Club later onPorridge breakfast, I'm getting used to T*sco oats now. Actually so far I've found the T*sco stuff I've had in is fine, even the fresh veggies. I was never a T shopper but pleasantly surprisedLunch, more Tiger bread, maybe a sarnie or maybe toast. It depends on how stale or not it is once I dive in the bagDinner, I've defrosted a rump steak, duly bashed & marinating. Probably have it with HM AF chips & saladPN, are there a local FB pages for your area? I suspect, like me, you are not a fan of FB, however you could sign up under assumed name and be PN No mates to avoid friending types, only need check the privacy buttons to avoid the problems some seem to have.My point is a lot of the local FB groups have local info, who's open, which chippy, Chinese etc. May be worth investigating ?Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens2

Good afternoon everyone,
In my area Farway Tesco are by far the best for deliveries, Ive never had any real problems with things being short dated or veg being substandard and when things do go wrong their customer service team are helpful.
It's lovely here again today though I've not really been out in yet as I've been busy doing housework and some admin for my voluntary work. Floors have just been mopped which is a cue for me to put my feet up for a bit. Bbq last night was really good nothing fancy but made a nice change. While it was on we took the chance to grill some peppers and courgette slices to have with our refried bean tacos for dinner tonight and also smoked a couple of bulbs of garlic. I'll peel that later while I'm sitting in the sunshine then it can be pureed and frozen in ice cube trays. I love smoked garlic but it's really hard to get round here and if you can it's expensive. Lunch was some of the HM bread topped with egg and cress mayo with some baby plum toms to munch on the side.1 -

hi foodies
I am getting lazier by the day food wise... well generally wise really lol
Burger last night which I didn't finish so that was brunch today
Plan for later is a tuna pasta bake with lots of cheese and maybe some garlic bread.
In between has been a white chocolate cookie
Pineapple jaffa cakes would be a no no here nearly as bad as pineapple on a pizza. The only place for pineapple is in a malibu cocktail on the beach

Found a ham in the freezer, which I defrosted, boiled then roasted with mustard and mango chutney (I had a sachet of each hanging around from the summer). It is fabulous
I also roasted the skin, which kind of made up for the lack of pork scratchings recently. I had some ham hot yesterday evening, and cold with a huge salad for lunch today. Both work very well!

My area's a little dead spot; few people have the identity of living here and no FB group exists for this area's name ... I guess people wish to align themselves with trendier/aspirational spots... but, it was such a group that put me onto this alleged good chippy round the corner. I'd tried the chips over the road before lockdown and had planned to return (£2/huge bag), somebody'd posted that they do deliveries... min £6 for that though! So I'd remarked I'd just like to collect a single bag of chips... and somebody said a chippy was open, so I googled it... of course, being Sunday it wasn't; it's allegedly open now, but I wouldn't trust that as they have no web presence or FB, so it's probably some old default open/close hours somebody put on there once years ago.
Not hungry right now.
Today I've had: 2 flatbreads, pot of paste, tomatoes. 2 tomatoes on their own. 3 rocky bars. A Pot Rice. A flatbread on its own. A cup a soup.So it's not surprising I'm not hungry

If you see it as a piemaker, or omelette maker, sausage cooker, hash brown maker/re-heater..... then you realise "Ah, it's just hot plates in a particular shape, so anything that'll fit in there will work". You can even make bread things, or heat frozen chips. Cook meatballs.... cook fish fingers. It's just a double sided hot plate.
Even damper bread, little cakes/buns, scones... can be cooked in it. From scratch.
If you look at some piemaker groups on FB ... whatever they're sticking in those can go in a sandwich toaster if it'll fit. You could make (odd shaped) crumpets! Crumpets = usual recipe, tip mix in, leave lid up until the bubbles/holes have formed.... put the lid down just for the final browning of the top bit.3 -
I've never understood why people put pineapple on pizza or gammon 🤢 however I do like it as a dessert especially if I can pick up a sweet one
Good news from my brother is my SIL finished her chemo just before lockdown, she still needs antibody treatment but the specialist is happy with her progress, she and my brother just have to stay shielded and hope to avoid CV19
back to the usual today, other than a trip to the pet store lunchtime to stock up on his lordships food, the bigger packs of his sachets were on offer so he's sorted for a couple of months 🐾🐾. Just as well he has a supply of dreamies as I knocked a unopened jar of pickled onions out of the cupboard earlier (reaching for hidden chocolate 🤫) kitchen now smell like a chippy and I'm sure I'll be finding the glass for a while, he didn't appreciate being woken from a nap by crashing and swearing 🤬 and I hadn't planned in washing the floor in vinegar 🙄
