    . . . what rewards?
    I have a Select account......
You can earn rewards using your Select account's debt card at certain "retail partners".

. . . However the leaflet goes on to say:
"and you joined the My Rewards service before 12 October 2015"
    Erm... no, it's now 2018!
Ha, ha. Missed that tiny little detail.

Must learn to read stuff to the end. :)

  • Thanks me too last night.

The format is exactly the same as Ulster Bank.

Have been able to transfer 1501 in and have ordered a reader yesterday so hopefully the error message I'm getting when I try and activate disappears soon so I can transfer back.

About 36hrs after ordering a card reader I now had the online option to activate it.

Using an old Ulster card reader and the postal PIN this worked fine.

Then went onto transfer the 1501 out in chunks of 250, 501 and 750.

First two arrived within seconds whilst the 750 is in the ether somewhere!!

Presumably like Yorkshire Pud above I've been caught by some sort of security violation.

    What a crock of rubbish!!!

My OH and I have newly opened NatWest Accounts. My card reader has arrived and I've used it. My OH's card reader hasn't arrived yet. Can he use mine to access his account, or is it just usable on my account, please?

Haven’t actually done this with Natwest, but pretty sure you can as I have done this with Nationwide, and it’s an identical reader.

My other received forms to sign and return a few days ago. She already holds Savings account with NatWest.

Text message arrived account has been opened and I can view it on online banking aswel. Strange why did they send the forms and do I still have to return them?

Possibly yes. But on the first attempt to transfer monies out of the account it'll flag up the fact that you need a card reader, but don't appear to have one. So it asks you if you want one? So I guess you should say yes and order it.

Then maybe if you logout and then log back in again after ordering the reader, you may be able to try and use the reader that you already have!

    Hi All,

I went to the Natwest bank to open the current and they stated the switch went through.

I have received a text message saying the switch by HSBC bank has been rejected.

I contacted the bank I switched from they said the switch has went through and the account has been closed.

    Has anyone else had this?

I haven't received my card or the reader yet.

I just tried my own advice and it didn't work. When I try to setup a new payee it wants me to order a card reader!
