  • We last moved house in 1991 so I didn't have a Photo Driving Licence until a few months back, when I mislaid the old one. Have to say it is such a plus being able to use it to easily provide ID, especially as we use flybe a lot within the UK, so I don't need my passport.

Well, I've now had emails to tell me my Select account application has been approved, and my switch will go ahead, but as yet I don't have any of customer number/sort code/account number so hopefully they will turn up soon so I can register for online banking!

I would also check very carefully to make sure that your interaction with the branch hasn't altered the status of your application to an in-branch one. In conversations I've had today it was very clear that only applications made via the online channel will be eligible for the bonus.

Did you tell them they're clearly wrong because the terms say it's available to existing eligible account holders?

    "(a) apply for a Select, Reward, Reward Silver, Reward Platinum or Reward Black account (‘eligible account’) via natwest.com or through the NatWest mobile app between 10 January and 16 February 2018;
or (b) have a NatWest Select, Reward, Select Silver, Reward Silver, Select Platinum, Reward Platinum, Black or Reward Black account (‘eligible account’)"

    Hi,

I have two old redundant current accounts - does anyone know whether you could apply to open two new accounts with Natwest and be eligible to receive the switching offer of £125 for each account? Or is it one account/one incentive per person?

    Many thanks.

    It's one per person.

me and my OH both applied last night.
virtually the last page of the process gave us our sort code and account number.
everything seems to have gone smooth with online verification but in our case no emails what so ever, do these come later?

No idea TBH, the bank systems appear to be making the process up as they go along. Lol.

Seriously though, it seems that some applications have been trouble free and others not, and as yet no apparent reasons why that should be the case.
  • Up and running, card arrived, requested card reader. Is this offer open to Joint Account xfers for a sneeky second helping ???

No - see my post #3

Ask NW what they would do if someone does not have a passport or driving license ? There will be lots of people. Are they seriously saying that they would not accept them as customers ?

I would complain if they cannot answer.

    Am sensing a theme ;)

Applied for an card reader for online banking. Will take 7 days to get to me. I assume the card reader will be to make any payment although I could use my customer number to make payments via phoning customer services.
