Love this! Never really expect much from Natwest (offer wise) and interestingly I moved away from them a good few years ago! 👍0

I received the text asking me to upload docs via digidocs, however didn't get an email. When I went to go into digidocs it didn't recognise my email. Anyone else had this? I phoned them up and they said that it should work as that is the email they have for me in their records and they didn't have an answer as to how to solve it, other than take my docs into the branch!!!LBM: Dec 2012 - Debt £38,180/ Now £0.

My passport has expired and I don't have a photocard driving licence - my paper one hasn't been updated since the last change of address over 20 years ago. I have not been asked for proof of ID when opening any other bank accounts (most recently for the YBS switch) but DigiDocs is being mentioned a lot with this offer. Do other banks or organisations use it routinely?0

Ask NW what they would do if someone does not have a passport or driving license ? There will be lots of people. Are they seriously saying that they would not accept them as customers ?
I would complain if they cannot answer.0 -

Probably the quickest account setup I have ever had. Applied Thursday, got immediate emails of confirmation, access to app by Friday, account information appearing in app Saturday, PINs received Monday, cards received today (Tuesday). Switch is due 9th Feb but not sure if it will go through as I don't even have the debit cards for those accounts yet. Not too worried though, at worst we will have four donor accounts for future switches.Retired at age 56 after having "light bulb moment" due to reading MSE and its forums. Have been converted to the "budget to zero" concept and use YNAB for all monthly budgeting and long term goals.0

I'm in a similar position to you with my passport and driving licence. The closest I came to having a real problem was with M&S whose list of ID documents didn't include anything I could provide. Fortunately most banks operate electronic verification, so in the case of M&S I didn't need to provide any documents in the end.
I'm expecting to have to get a new passport before too much longer though, someone is bound to insist on photo ID."In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0 -

I have a driving licence, just not a photocard one. And I have my last, and previous passports, I'm reluctant to have the expense of renewing it simply as ID when I don't expect to be travelling abroad imminently.
Digidocs isn't something I'd heard of previously, but I haven't had a huge number of bank accounts since the dawn of the digital age. I'm working on that!!0 -
I would also check very carefully to make sure that your interaction with the branch hasn't altered the status of your application to an in-branch one. In conversations I've had today it was very clear that only applications made via the online channel will be eligible for the bonus.
I've got 2 choices now- phone the team and ask the pertinent question or just go into the branch and extract the wretched letter, put in envelope supplied and post!! I'm tempted to do the latter and forget more time consuming phone calls..........Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
