Spoke to NW, who confirmed that my account switch started today. Logged into online banking already so all I have to do is put £1500 into my NW account. Very nice and easy for £165 (£40 for my complaint and £125 bonus).

Yes, we get it. You complained, you got £40. Well done!

I now have 2 hard credit searches by Nat West , on 11 and 15 Jan.

My understanding is that all data "belongs" to the lender who can delete or alter it if necessary. I have certainly had erroneous searches removed before. A Notice of Correction can act as a temporary notice until the lender has looked into the issue and made a decision.

I'll advise if/when the first search is deleted.

My understanding is that the number of searches on one's report has a low correlation with being accepted for credit

I've just checked my credit file, only one search on the 11th.

Not sure of the circumstances as to why you have two searches, but when I opened my last NatWest account in August, I applied for credit card at same time which resulted in another search, I argued it wasn't clear another search would be carried out (and indeed questioned why as the data wouldnt have changed in 3 minutes) - anyway two searches appeared, I complained, they point blank refused to remove the second search. It then magically disappeared (even though they said they hadn't removed it) and to this day only one search shows.

Anyone got a problem logging in via Firefox 57.0.4 (64-bit)?

I get the following, (but can login via Internet Explorer and my Android tablet ).

    Secure Connection Failed

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the web site owners to inform them of this problem.

Have spoken to them on the phone but can only get the usual remove the cookies or use a different browser.

Removing cookies does nothing as I have done this several times in the past with other companies, but only end up loosing all save passwords etc.

Can log into all other bank accounts using Firefox without problems.

I applied yesterday and had the same empty feeling that something wasn't quite right when I closed the final window. However this morning I have had a text and email confirming my application is in process and to send id electronically.

    Be patient :)
You should pay attention to the needs of the moment - otherwise there is no future. But to ignore the future is foolish - living solely for the moment leaves nothing for when the next moment arrives.

We've been spoilt by "B" - account open and accessible via the app instantly I guess :)

Rec debit card today, very quick. No acc no on it though, sort code OK.
    Switch started today.

Is it best to wait until the switch is complete to deposit the £1500 or does it not matter ? Also presumably you can take the £1500 straight back out again ?

Same here. Switch started today, completes 22nd.

Debit card received today but no Pin yet.

Customer number received, but no activation code which should have been received by 9.30 this morning

Without these missing bits of the puzzle, I don't know my account number and don't have OLB access, so will not be able (or willing:p) to transfer £1500 in.

Mildly envious of those lucky ones who have had a smoother experience:o.
