NatWest £125 switch incentive

Account up and running now....applied on the 10th. Switch from Halifax will be on the 19th.
All smooth so far, have a local branch so might keep this account.0 -
Account appeared in my online banking.
Switch set for the 22nd, Sadly my natwest is closing in July, but I dont need a bank visit, probably keep the account as a donor account.
Not many more bank accounts left for me to switch too now though I have most of them, or had them in the past and closed/switched out (ruled out of any LBG switches) and I suppose a refreshen of my account holdings maybe in order esp with the DD requirements on many.
Information pack arrived today, signed and posted back.
Now another waiting game but i'm happy with £375 in less then two months, that goes along way.

I applied for a Select account and completed the online ID process a few days ago. I have received a letter in the post from Natwest requesting a signature to be sent back to them. Should I still do this when I've already uploaded my photo ID online?0

No, I and lots of other people have had the same thing. I called the bank who advised you dont need to do that0 -
Once documents have been uploaded via DigiDocs, there is the following message in the confirmation email:
"We will use this information to carry out our further checks and to progress your
application. This takes 3-5 days but will only take place once we've received all the
information from all parties involved.
If you have provided your required documents and signed any requested forms
online, you don't need to provide this again by post or in branch.

NatWest Personal Current Account Application Team"0 -

Is that a credit check or would that have been done at the time of applying...?0 -
Credit check was complete upon submitting an application...
I think, Natwest will verify ID details along with a signature from the passport.0 -
I've now applied 5 or 6 times. Each time I seem to get taken to different places in the system! In each application I applied for an online account. A couple of times I tried to apply for the account as a new customer without switching immediately and in both cases it recognised my details and told me to go back an apply as an existing customer which I'm not although I was until I switched to Halifax back in 2014! It then proceeded to ask me for an account number which I don't have! When I applied for the account and an immediate switch as a new customer my details were accepted and I was told that I was successful but it did not ask me to provide any switching details and I never received any confirmation by email or text. Only once was I ever asked to input my passport number. My final attempt late yesterday evening took me through a different path but this time I had to set up a "Memorable Word" and I was asked for switching details and at the end was told I would receive something by post. I don't have a clue whether I have set up any or several accounts or whether the switch is being actioned. The system they are using is completely inconsistent and really doesn't provide enough information on the status of your application.0

Personally I signed and returned, it can't do any harm but could possibly hinder if you don't. (Do bank CS staff always give the correct advice...).0 -

Just got a email , few minutes ago ! to say all is OK.
don't panic....NW...... are busy.
E-mail just received here too - existing customer switch initiated about 7pm on Thursday, e-mail confirmation 10am Tuesday, switch to go ahead (asked for asap) on 22 Jan :T0
