Happy Birthday for yesterday, Kerri!  Scallops, sea bream and a cheeseboard sounds lovely, just the sort of menu I would order. I hope you had a lovely day.

Tonight we will be finishing up the cottage pie I made yesterday with the last of Sunday’s roast beef. I’m really not in the mood for it, the weather is far too warm for comfort food but I
don’t have any free space in the freezers. I really must do an audit on those and start running them down a bit, I fear they are full of quite random things!

  • Happy Birthday for yesterday @kerri_gt.

Absolutely sweltering here so I had seeded crackers with cashew nut butter and a lovely fridge cold salad followed by a tangerine and coffee and then an ice cream on the way home from our annual fair.

    We had salad again.
We might even have it again tomorrow. Far too hot to be standing over a hot cooker.

Glad you had a nice birthday.

I do not however recommend having your jaw wired!  It's annoying and you aren't able to brush your teeth properly!!!  yes you'll lose weight but you'll also be a cheap drunk (well I was as I wasn't eating anything) and have to ask random individuals to lick your stamps to put on post cards.  (ok it was a few years back...)

Oh and last night was fried potato pancakes and weisswurst and coleslaw.  Tonight is M7S mac cheese.

Must remind OH that I'm supposedly no/low carbing.  Maybe that sounds too much like "not low carbing"!!

We're also trying to low carb. Tonight was 'pulled pork' done with a gammon slow cooked all day, which hubby then fried in a bit of butter and also cooked a pan of spinach, mushrooms and green beans garlic and yet more butter. Some soured cream to go with.

Last night was Salmon with broccoli and asparagus, lovely.
