Oh - nice recipes!!! And strange how bits fall off in transit.......
I'll def be trying the Delia one - reminds me of what we used to call parkins. (no idea why) And the other looks delish too but uses ingredients I never have - like golden syrup. I'm sure I've never bought that in my life and am not sure I've ever had it except perhaps in someone else's baking.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Market day! OH decided burgers were needed for tonight despite having declared how nasty they always are for the last month. I've been told every time I go to buy dinner stuff "no burgers! I never enjoy them!!!" But there was a meal deal at M7S which included very nice chips so that's a good excuse for burgers. I shall remain vaguely virtuous and build a small salad to go with mine.
OH also picked up a nice half leg of lamb for the weekend that will be slow cooked in red wine with onions, tomatoes and black olives. Also some very nice tuna steaks from the fish guy - hopefully bbq'd and served with rice.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. We had burgers too! I used the pork and beef mixed mince from Aldi, and added finely diced onions and red chilli, salt, pepper and an egg to bind. It made whopping burgers! One each for us tonight, and another two for the freezer. Served in brioche buns with some salad leaves. Too full for any pud.2

I’ve made a Thai green chicken curry. I added loads of extra veg so now there is such a huge pan full of the stuff we’ll probably be eating it for a week!3
