I had baked beans I jazzed up with some urfa chilli paste and some very venerable sultanas, seedy toast and marmite, veggie sausages, a fried egg and a steamed corn on the cob.
It's been a long day, I had to cycle uphill against the North wind this morning for an errand and once I'd done it and got back into the saddle to coast back into town the wind had veered round to the South so I had to pedal hard all the way back too. What with that and the roadworks my legs felt like limp spaghetti by the time I got home.3 -
Been round at DM helping with some light pruning in the garden....that was 6 wheelie bin sacks of cuttings then after I got the hedge trimmer out
also painted the garage window frame which in inself wasn't too bad except due to a drop in the garden it needs a ladder....a tall one to get to it.
Consequently I'm shattered...so tonight was ping ping king prawn alfredo courtesy of Iceland (they've changed the recipe so it's not as nice as it used to be but filled a gap tonight).Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I've harvested a nice assortment of veg from the garden, and have made a vegetable curry.3

I'm being very dull and pedestrian after another very busy day at the museum with a group of friends followed by a hair appointment so I've just had the other half tin of baked beans with seedy marmite toast followed by a chunk of cheddar and a coffee."She could squeeze a nickel until the buffalo pooped."

@goldfinches nothing wrong with beans on toast.
We went out out-ish for dinner tonight. Unfortunately couldn't get into out first choice of restaurant so picked one I haven't been to in ages. Was busy and food was nice, although i made a mistake of ordering a starter and main with a common / similar item which was an overnight on my part, and the fryer for halloumi fries was broken (first world problems i know but OH wanted them as a starter as wasn't keen on the other starter options).
A table near us filled up during the evening, table of 10, clearly a business dinner with a mix of folk from locally and Europe. Was so nice to hear and obviously business travel was back on for them all. They prob only needed to toast the night out once though...they were up to three times by the time we left and i suspect more to follow based on the wine flowing
