We went to my cousin's so the 'boys' could  watch the England match and I could have a chat with her daughters/her and had a BBQ after full time. Chicken, steak, sausage, burger, salad followed by mixed berries and whipped cream. Lovely day.

@Smoosh, that sounds lovely. I will give that a go.
We watched the football and then I persuaded husband to get the drill out. Much swearing later, a few jobs were done. I measured for the holes, he did the drilling.
We had a simple dinner,  mainly for quickness, salmon done in the oven with  jerseys and steamed veg.
It's one of my favourite dinners! :yum:

Had cheese and salad in pitta bread followed by a nectarine that had been sitting in the sun and iced coffee, scorching hot here so couldn't face anything more strenuous.

  • Going to be scorchio again today! I cooked a tray of jacket potatoes yesterday evening so main meal today will be one of those reheated with Tuna and sweetcorn mayo, some homemade coleslaw (also made last night) and whatever green salading I can harvest from the garden and the fridge drawer.  Blueberries and Greek yoghurt for pudding and a cup of black coffee.

Yesterday we had a lovely lunch with a good friend, very spoiled with scallops, lobster, cote de boeuf, salad and champagne - she is well posh….. 😂

Tonight will be a more sedate affair with steak salad with HM blue cheese dressing

Didn't really bother to eat yesterday but OH cooked a pizza which we shared,  then he was still hungry so cooked a second also shared.

Today i had a sweet potato and fet pie RTC from Lidl,  learnt from the past it's super filling (could easily serve 2 but OH didnt want any) so just had that with a bit of broccoli.

Fed up with the announcements today, though not unexpected. Next carrot dangled for July 🙄 at least we have tables booked for Friday night out and it's quite handy not having to queue at the bar and remember everyone's drinks 😂
