Jersey royals, fish fingers and carrots.  Didn't really consider how orange the plate would look until I put it out.

@JIL - thankyou for your kind comment about my cookies. I'm very pleased to have discovered this particular recipe as I needed a vegan and gluten free bake and this one works brilliantly with the egg replacer I've got Three-ingredient peanut butter cookies - Dairy-free cookies (goodhousekeeping.com)

@kerri_gt - if Picasso can have a blue period I don't see why the rest of us can't have an orange period or any other colour phase for the food we create.

ETA: Forgot to say I was treated to dinner in a Thai restaurant by my elder DD who was in great form. I had Popia Sod and Pad Phed Pak with rice followed by coffee and it was all delicious.

  • Cold collation today as DD2 is picking up Grandpickle 1 and he's currently on the ceiling excited and I've had to send him and Opa out to wait on the front for her to arrive...jelly and fruit for pudding followed by a nicely chilled Terrys Chocolate Orange and possibly a cup of black coffee!

DH wants Chinese takeout tonight, so whilst he has his carb fix, I’ll grill some chicken and veg kebabs and make some Keto Satay sauce

Currently scoffing an enormous salad made with everything possible from the fridge, window ledge and store cupboard sliced or grated and then dressed with red wine vinegar and truffle oil vinaigrette. Eating with a bread roll and to be followed by a satsuma and a coffee.

We had harry ramsden fish and chips courtesy of Iceland. Not really quite the same, but acceptable. With homemade mushy peas and tartar sauce.
  • Cheese and tomato quiche with jacket potatoes and salad followed by orange jelly with mandarins in and custard.  Cup of black coffee.
