Yesterday we went to a shopping outlet and had takeaway fish and chips in a layby on the way home.
Tonight husband made some jacket potatoes I had mine with cheese and coleslaw. Husband decided he was having corned beef and baked beans. Theres something really nice about a simple easy to put together meal. I really enjoyed mine.

@hob_nob_bob congratulations and hope your sickness eases off soon.

Yesterday's dinner was labneh, red onion and walnut ezme, confit artichokes, salad, aubergine siniyah and pita bread. The artichokes were so rich I couldn't manage very much of them at all, next time I'll dress them with lemon juice or vinegar.

We had scampi and calamari, salad, jerseys and some coleslaw. Daughter was out today with four friends, they set off at 10.30am and walked 14 miles. Stopping off at three pubs for lunch, drinks and dinner in each.

Hi there IM, I've missed stealing your meal ideas seeing your posts on here! Glad that all is well.

My intended meal plan for this week is all over the place due to some last-minute changes of plan and more leftovers than I expected. So tonight I am just making a simple cottage pie, and tomorrow will be a weird conconction to use up some leftovers - it will be stir fried veg in oyster and soy sauce padded out with noodles and chopped up cooked sausages. I don't think that's actually a recognised dish, but I think it might be nicer than it sounds
