Baked vegan hot cross buns today for afternoon walk in the park with friends so was not terribly hungry this evening.  :)
If sultanas and mixed peel count towards your 5 a day then I've had 11 of my five plus used up an orange from the fruit bowl and finished the apricot jam so I'm calling that a win.

Started off the week with a meal plan and ended up totally changing it! blaming a combination of the hot weather and simply not having the time.

Last night I had cottage pie and cauliflower.
Tonight I have had chicken, salad and HM coleslaw

Have eaten the last portion of the ragu with the last heel of the cucumber, the end of the frozen sweetcorn, cous cous and some petits pois followed by cheese for pud.
I'm on a use it up kick at the moment so can anyone recommend a recipe that includes both beetroot and quinoa/chickpeas/bulgur/pearl barley or green lentils please? Thanks in advance for all suggestions, goldfinches.

Goldfinches - how about beetroot and chickpea burgers?

Last night we had cod portions which I oven baked in a miso paste, honey and soy marinade served with steamed green beans. Tonight I am unearthing from the freezer a couple of minced beef and vegetable pasties which I made ages ago, and we’ll have those with a few chips.
