Didn't really bother with dinner tonight,  have had a tight chest/pain and feel like I'm struggling to catch my breath for the past 6 weeks or so but got worse last week. Saw doc but since my o2 levels and chest sound clear and doing things like exercise don't seem to make it worse (as in I'm struggling to sleep at night because of it but its no better or worse regardless of whether I'm moving or resting) they don't really seem interested.  Anyway, I'm now wondering if it's possibly digestive related so skipping dinner so i can hopefully get to sleep tonight ok.

    Kerri, hope you are ok.

We had pies, chips, mushy peas and gravy. An easy dinner, pies and chips go in oven, mushy peas, zapped in microwave ( I make a big batch and freeze in portions) gravy just needed hot water.  It was lovely.

Chicken curry and rice last night. I used a jar which claimed to be extremely hot. It was, we could hardly eat it...

Have made a basic tomato soup with tinned tomatoes and tomatoes, put in the left over chicken pasta I made the other night. Few chicken wings and potato croquettes

@kerri_gt sorry to hear you are feeling poorly. Hope you are better soon. Could be Reflux/GRD. My sis had this and sounds similar

I had Chicken and ham pie with cauliflower and broccoli.

@JIL @rachsecret thanks for your well wishes. I did manage to get to sleep last night without too much struggle so that's progress.

@rachsecret I did Google (dangerous thing to do, Google really needs a page that just reads 'don't worry it's nothing serious') and GRD did come up.  It's odd because I don't feel any burning sensation as such, or I don't think I do (start to doubt yourself after a bit) but I did have two occasions the year before last where I had terrible acid issues with no pre-warning or reason for a week at a time. Had to sleep on my left side to quell the pain and had continual waves of pain in the daytime...unfortunate as one occasion I was in business meetings 🤦‍♀️).
I still have an appt booked for next week which I'm going to keep and see what the doc says. Out of interest what treatment did your sis have or did it just go away itself?

Back on subject, dinner was a spinach and ricotta cannelloni- been decorating all day today and was pretty hungry by dinner time.

Great that you slept better. She had Omeprazole which really helped clear it up. They may do stool tests for heliobactor too or even a gastrophy (think that is what it is called) where they put a camera down your oesophagus.

I had lasagne for tea and made a LC chocolate and peanut butter cake with ganache topping for pudding and leftovers for freezing.

Thank you. I treated myself to a bottle of Gaviscon Advance today (although I'm not convinced how effective it feels vs the normal Gaviscon which is strange) and some OTC tablets that may take a few days to work but hopefully may help this to resolve itself. I also have the appt I booked a couple of weeks ago still booked (first they had that wasn't an emergency) so going to discuss more then.

Dinner was LO pasta with ikea meatballs and a healthy dose of Gaviscon for pudding. 🤦‍♀️
