We ordered in brunch sandwiches today-massive with lots of meat in them. Dinner will be light and not red meat. Going to go for fish I think. Two salmon and dill parcels have come in the shopping delivery. Will probably have those and the last of the potatoes mashed and some veg.
There are also two puddings for one we need to use  mine is Christmas pudding and oh is sticky toffee pudding. Will heat those and try to use up the ice cream to get rid of the tub taking up lots of room.

I didnt think about the neighbours @kerri_gt, I even went out in my pyjamas, as I'm not going out today. Your dinner looked really good. Does it come plated up?
I have been making soup today a thai lentil and butternut squash and a smoky cauliflower cheese one.
We had some for lunch. Rest should be good for the next few days.
Dinner just cooking, pork for husband, nut roast for me, some kind of no bull steak for daughter. Roast potatoes and veg.

I also made an apple crumble.

JIL our neighbours have seen me in all states, they seem to appear when I'm trying to get to the bins looking a total wreck or holding a bag of cat poo (gravel drive).
Dinner was collected in a large foil container per person and I plated them. Foil got a rinse and popped in the recycling. I've now spent all afternoon feeling at a bit of  a loss as we don't usually eat so early and now i don't need to worry about what to cook 😂

  • Lol I wondered what FF/SS meant too!

I had lamb, spiced red cabbage cooked with apple and balsamic, broccoli, sprouts, french beans, celeriac dauphinoise and gravy.
Had a bit of a cookathon to fill my bare freezer and made:
x8 portions of spiced red cabbage with apple/balsamic
huge jar of picked red cabbage-seme to be going through this like mad lately
    x6 portions celeriac dauphinoise
left over lamb to do a couple of meals
    x6 roasted chicken portions
x6 apple sponge puddings (used the little foil cases that steak pudding come in that I bought off e**ay)
x5 cottage pies (1 person size)

    I'm guessing
    FF means from freezer
     and
    SS means super six. (Aldi)

I’m just about to serve up salmon fillets baked in puff pastry with spinach and a bit of cream cheese, served with steamed greens and a little bit of mashed potato left over from last night.

I have a glut of eggs to use up from my hens, so I’ve made a giant pavlova tray bake topped with cream and slices of mandarin orange steeped in home made caramel with a tot of dark rum in it.  That will be puds over the next couple of nights.
