  • Red Pepper and Tomato soup for lunch today again.

Supper will be mushroom and bacon risotto and home made coleslaw followed by faux apple crumble (crushed biscuit topping) and custard.  Warming food for cold winter days!

really fancy a roast dinner of some sort this weekend, with roasted carrots, masked turnip and cheesy leeks, its in my head!
We have one ordered from a local pub for Sunday (first time this pub has been doing that - they're usually just a wet pub and like many others getting naff all help, still having to pay rent and other overheads and struggling to survive so we're trying to do our bit to support them). Really looking forward to it.

I've found some rolls (petit pains) in the freezer we were meant have with pate on Christmas day but I couldn't find the rolls then. So chips with chicken (cooked last night) rolls
  • Perked myself up by making a pear and ginger cake, then made chicken katsu with turmeric rice, broccoli and carrots (and a side of a gin and tonic 😉). The moths in DH’s wallet are safe from takeaway spends once more 😂
